104. וְאֵלִיָּהוּ וְחַכְמֵי וּבַעֲלֵי הַיְשִׁיבוֹת, כָּאן רָמוּז אֵין חָבוּשׁ מַתִּיר עַצְמוֹ מִבֵּית הָאֲסוּרִים. שֶׁהוּא קָשׁוּר בְּקֶשֶׁר שֶׁל תְּפִלִּין שֶׁל יָד, וְאָסוּר בִּתְפִלִּין שֶׁל רֹאשׁ, כְּשֶׁאֵין (לוֹ) בֵּן לִגְאֹל אוֹתוֹ מִצַּד שֶׁל בֶּן יָ”הּ. בְּאוֹתוֹ קֶשֶׁר הוּא אָח חָבוּשׁ וְאָסוּר, שֶׁאֵין לוֹ רְשׁוּת לִגְאֹל אֶת עַצְמוֹ, שֶׁהוּא ד’ עַצְמוֹ שֶׁל אָח. \n105. וְלֹא לְחִנָּם אָמַר הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא, כָּל הָעוֹסֵק בַּתּוֹרָה וּבִגְמִילוּת חֲסָדִים וּמִתְפַּלֵּל עִם הַצִּבּוּר, מַעֲלֶה אֲנִי עָלָיו כְּאִלּוּ פְּדָאַנִי לִי וּלְבָנַי מִבֵּין הָעוֹבְדֵי כוֹכָבִים וּמַזָּלוֹת. וְכַמָּה בְּנֵי אָדָם שֶׁמִּשְׁתַּדְּלִים בַּתּוֹרָה וְעוֹשִׂים גְּמִילוּת חֲסָדִים וּמִתְפַּלְלִים, וְלֹא נִגְאָל הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא וּשְׁכִינָתוֹ וְיִשְׂרָאֵל. אֶלָּא שֶׁיִּשְׁתַּדֵּל בַּתּוֹרָה לְחַבֵּר אוֹתָהּ עִם הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא. וּגְמִילוּת חֶסֶד הֲרֵי פֵּרְשׁוּהָ, שֶׁהֲרֵי אֵין חָסִיד אֶלָּא הַמִּתְחַסֵּד עִם קוֹנוֹ, שֶׁכָּל הַמִּצְווֹת שֶׁעָשָׂה, לִגְאֹל בּוֹ שְׁכִינָתוֹ, וּבָזֶה עוֹשֶׂה חֶסֶד עִם הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא.<\/div>\n

\nThe sages teach us “אֵין חָבוּשׁ מַתִּיר עַצְמוֹ מִבֵּית הָאֲסוּרִים” “A prisoner can’t release himself from the prison house”.
\nThis saying is analogy to the relationship between the Holy One Blessed be He and us in Malchut<\/a>. A person that wears Tefillin on his head and hand becomes a channel for the Light of Zeir Anpin<\/a>. This light is ‘locked’ until the person creates unification and release the Light. This process is similar to the Levirate marriage when the light for a child was not manifested and the living brother makes unification with the widow to release this light.
\nEve was the aspect of Malchut<\/a>. God separated her from Adam who was the aspect of Zeir Anpin<\/a>. After God brought her back to him, Adam said;

\n“וַיֹּאמֶר הָאָדָם זֹאת הַפַּעַם עֶצֶם מֵעֲצָמַי וּבָשָׂר מִבְּשָׂרִי לְזֹאת יִקָּרֵא אִשָּׁה כִּי מֵאִישׁ לֻקֳחָה זֹּאת”
\n“The man said, “This is now bone of my bones, And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man.””
\nGod’s plan was to give us opportunity to earn his great light just by selflessly create unification of upper and lower to release that light that is always available to us.
\nLike we explained in #97 above (DZ 2818), the unification represented in the word ‘אחד’,’one’. When we were Tefillin we read the Shema Israel<\/a> prayer and we say the word ‘אחד’ ‘one’ longer that normal while meditating to unify upper and lower.
\nAdam referred to Eve as ‘bone of my bones’. It is reference to the Tefillin of the head that is the aspect of Chokmah<\/a> and the letters ‘אח’ from ‘אחד’. ‘flesh of my flesh’ is related to the Tefillin of the hand that points to the heart that is Tiferet<\/a>.
\nBoth Tefillin of head and hand required for complete and proper unification.

\nThe Talmud quotes the Holy One Blessed be He, saying “Anyone that deal with the Torah, act with kindness and sharing and pray with the congregation is considered as if he redeemed me and my children from among idol worshippers”
\nEven though many good and pious people study, pray and act with kindness, the redemption didn’t come yet. The Zohar explains that the meditation should be pure and just for the unification of the Shechina and the Holy One Blessed be He. All the precepts should have this pure meditation in order to redeem the world.
