\n“וַיְהִי קוֹל הַשֹּׁפָר, הוֹלֵךְ וְחָזֵק מְאֹד; מֹשֶׁה יְדַבֵּר, וְהָאֱלֹהִים יַעֲנֶנּוּ בְקוֹל”
\n“When the sound of the trumpet (Shofar<\/a>) walking and grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him with voice.”
\nThe Zohar explains that there are great supernal<\/a> secrets in this verse. The voice, ‘קול’ is the aspect of Zeir Anpin<\/a> that Moses represents. Moses was the channel for Zeir Anpin<\/a>, and the voice of God spoke through him. When it said; “Moses spoke, and God answered him with voice,” it means that God used Moses as a channel to deliver the Ten Commandments to the people.

\nThe Erev Rav trembled with fear when they saw the great ‘display’ of God on Mount Sinai. They moved far from the mountain (Exodus 20:15<\/a>) because they knew that they are different from the Children of Israel<\/a> and can’t be close to the mountain. They asked Moses to talk to them rather than hear it directly from God. They knew that their vessel doesn’t match one of the Israelites<\/a>.

\n“וַיֹּאמְרוּ אֶל מֹשֶׁה דַּבֵּר אַתָּה עִמָּנוּ וְנִשְׁמָעָה וְאַל יְדַבֵּר עִמָּנוּ אֱלֹהִים פֶּן נָמוּת.”
\n“Then they said to Moses, “Speak to us yourself and we will listen, but let not God speak to us, or we will die.”
\nThe Torah came from the side of Gevurah<\/a>, with the name ‘אֱלֹהִים’,’ELHYM.’ Moses was a channel for the Torah to come through the Center column<\/a>, Zeir Anpin<\/a>.
\nThere’s nothing in the Torah that comes from Moses himself. The Zohar gives an example. The curses in Leviticus 26 came out from the name ‘אֱלֹהִים’,’ELHYM.’ The curses in Deuteronomy came out from Moses last words to the people, but the ’voice’ that came from him was from the level of Zeir Anpin<\/a>.
\nLesson;
\nThe act of Creation was done with God’s name ‘אֱלֹהִים’, ’ELHYM.’ This name appears 32 times during the Creation process. The Torah begins with the letter ב and ends with ל to give us the numerical value of 32. This name also represents the level of Binah<\/a> that provides for us the force of Life
\nThe Torah came from the side of Gevurah<\/a> because the Torah is a book that reveals the laws of the spiritual system and guides us on how to connect to the Light of God in this world. It was given from the Left to infuse in us the desire to draw Light from the Torah.
\nWhen we study the Torah, especially through the Zohar, we increase the desire to know more and that brings us greater light.
\nAnother lesson that we can draw from the above is that when we come to manifest an idea into action, we need to apply the rules of the Left, meaning that everything should be ‘judged’, calculated and constructed properly.
