\nWhen a man put Tefillin, he stretches is his left arm, that is the aspect of drawing Light from Chokmah<\/a> to connect to Malchut<\/a> and the Shechina. Then with the Right hand with the aspect of Chessed<\/a> makes binding of the Left with the Right to have balance and completion. Then the Light of the Holy One Blessed be He is ‘dressed’ on his head. The Tefillin are considered as ‘פאר’ ‘Glory’ as it said in Isaiah 49:3<\/a>
\n“וַיֹּאמֶר לִי עַבְדִּי אָתָּה יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר בְּךָ אֶתְפָּאָר”
\n“He said to Me, “You are My Servant, Israel<\/a>, In Whom I will show My glory.”
\nIsrael<\/a> is Jacob and the Center Column<\/a> that represents the unification of the Right and the Left. For that reason, the Tefillin reveal the ‘Glory’ of the Holy One Blessed be He on the ‘head.’
\nThe head Tefillin has four chambers that represent the YHVH<\/a> name. Each chamber has a parchment with sacred text from the Torah. The Tefillin of the Hand has the same holy text but the entire text in one rolled parchment in one chamber.
\nLesson;
\nTefillin is one of the most important ‘tools’ we have. It connects us to Zeir Anpin<\/a> to draw the Light from Chokmah<\/a> and Binah<\/a>. We use the Tefillin every morning (the aspect of Chessed<\/a>) except for Shabbat and holidays when the light revealed is above Zeir Anpin<\/a>. On Rosh Chodesh<\/a>, we start with the Tefillin but remove them when we come to the second silent prayer (Musaf) that connects us to Keter<\/a>.
\nOther Spiritual tools are the ‘things’ we used during prayers and services.
\nThe mouth is another important spiritual tool that helps us create angels. It is essential when we pray and read properly. It’s critical when we bless the food with proper consciousness to draw the light from the food that we are about to eat. The Torah on Shabbat is a tool with the aspect of Zeir Anpin<\/a>, and it connects us to Binah<\/a>. The Torah and Zohar studies are vital to drawing the life force into our lives daily.
\nMaintaining the ‘tools’ is no less important that the use of them. The tefillin should be checked every couple of years, especially if they are old. If Tefillin fall and touch the floor, it becomes ‘grounded’ and the owner of the Tefillin need to fast for a day. If a Torah falls in the synagogue, the entire congregation need to fast to remove the judgment.
\nThe Zohar books should be maintained and respect as the most expensive jewelry because it gives us light and glory.
