51. וְעַל זֶה שָׁנִינוּ, הַבָּא לִטָּמֵא מְטַמְּאִים אוֹתוֹ וַדַּאי. אוֹי לְאָדָם כְּשֶׁשּׁוֹרָה עָלָיו רוּחַ טֻמְאָה וְנִמְצָא עִמָּהּ בָּעוֹלָם, שֶׁוַּדַּאי יֵדַע שֶׁהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא רוֹצֶה לְבַעֲרוֹ מִן הָעוֹלָם. אַשְׁרֵי הַצַּדִּיקִים שֶׁכֻּלָּם קְדוֹשִׁים וְנִמְצָאִים בִּקְדֻשָּׁה לִפְנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ הַקָּדוֹשׁ, וְשׁוֹרָה עֲלֵיהֶם רוּחַ קְדֻשָּׁה בָּעוֹלָם הַזֶּה וּבָעוֹלָם הַבָּא. כֵּיוָן שֶׁבָּא הַבֹּקֶר, קָמוּ וְהָלְכוּ.
\n52. עַד שֶׁהָיוּ הוֹלְכִים, פָּתַח רַבִּי אֶלְעָזָר וְאָמַר, (בראשית לב) וְיַעֲקֹב הָלַךְ לְדַרְכּוֹ וַיִּפְגְּעוּ בוֹ מַלְאֲכֵי אֱלֹהִים. וְיַעֲקֹב הָלַךְ לְדַרְכּוֹ, שֶׁהָיָה הוֹלֵךְ כְּנֶגֶד אָבִיו. בֹּא רְאֵה, כָּל זְמַן שֶׁיַּעֲקֹב נִמְצָא אֵצֶל לָבָן, לֹא דִבֵּר עִמּוֹ הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא (וְלֹא נִמְצָא אֶצְלוֹ). וְאִם תֹּאמַר, הֲרֵי כָּתוּב (בראשית לא) וַיֹּאמֶר ה’ אֶל יַעֲקֹב שׁוּב אֶל אֶרֶץ אֲבוֹתֶיךָ וּלְמוֹלַדְתֶּךָ וְגוֹ’. זֶה הָיָה בַּסּוֹף, בִּזְמַן שֶׁרָצָה לְהִפָּרֵד מִלָּבָן. וּכְשֶׁנִּפְרַד מִמֶּנּוּ, בָּאוּ לִקְרָאתוֹ אוֹתָם מַלְאָכִים וְלִוּוּהוּ בְדַרְכּוֹ.<\/div>\n

\nRabbi Elazar explains that while Jacob was in the house of Laban, his father-in-law, God didn’t speak to him. Only when Jacob decided that it’s time to leave Laban, God spoke to him;
\nGenesis 31:3<\/a>
\n“וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֶל-יַעֲקֹב, שׁוּב אֶל-אֶרֶץ אֲבוֹתֶיךָ וּלְמוֹלַדְתֶּךָ; וְאֶהְיֶה, עִמָּךְ”
\n“ And YHVH<\/a> said unto Jacob: ‘Return unto the land of your fathers, and to your kindred; and I will be with you.’”
\nThen when Jacob was on the way to his father, he saw the angels that came to escort and protect him on the way.
\nGenesis 32:2<\/a>
\n“וְיַעֲקֹב, הָלַךְ לְדַרְכּוֹ; וַיִּפְגְּעוּ-בוֹ, מַלְאֲכֵי אֱלֹהִים”
\n“And Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him.”
\nLesson;<\/strong>
\nWhen we decide to leave a place of negative, God opens for us a path with angels to protect us. This lesson connects us to the previous study and to the teaching of the Sages; “If one comes to impurify, they open for him opportunities to do as he pleases. If one comes to purify, they assist him.”
\nThe main lesson is to remember that when we choose Light we get more Light and when we choose darkness, we are left alone in that darkness.
\nWe may not see the angels on our path as Jacob did but we can trust the Torah and the Zohar teaching us to choose the righteous path and get the support we need.
