\nNumbers 21:34<\/a>
\n“וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֶל מֹשֶׁה אַל תִּירָא אֹתוֹ כִּי בְיָדְךָ נָתַתִּי אֹתוֹ וְאֶת כָּל עַמּוֹ וְאֶת אַרְצוֹ וְעָשִׂיתָ לּוֹ כַּאֲשֶׁר עָשִׂיתָ לְסִיחֹן מֶלֶךְ הָאֱמֹרִי אֲשֶׁר יוֹשֵׁב בְּחֶשְׁבּוֹן.”
\n“And YHVH<\/a> said to Moses, “Do not fear him, for I have given him into your hand, and all his people and his land; and you shall do to him as you did to Sihon, king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon.”<\/p>\n

The Israelites<\/a> came closer to the land of Bashan and Og, their king came out against them, he and all his people.
\nGod tells Moses not to fear the enemies ‘for I have given him into your hand’. From reading the verse we see that the victory was given to Moses’s hands before the battle. The Zohar explains that the fear has no place to be because Malchut<\/a> draws from two sides, mercy and Judgment.<\/p>\n

Proverbs 31:21<\/a>
\n“לֹא תִירָא לְבֵיתָהּ מִשָּׁלֶג כִּי כָל בֵּיתָהּ לָבֻשׁ שָׁנִים”
\n“She is not afraid of the snow for her household, For all her household are clothed with scarlet.”<\/p>\n

The household of Malchut<\/a> has clothes of ‘scarlet’ that is red and represents Chokmah<\/a> and the Left column<\/a>. Malchut<\/a> also has the snow that is white and represents the Right column<\/a> and Mercy, Chassadim<\/a>.
\nMalchut<\/a> cannot draw Light from the Right without the support of the Left. The left brings the aspect of desire and vessel and the Right is the Light that is revealed in the vessel. The Left without the Right is darkness and harsh judgments. Malchut<\/a> needs to connect to Chokmah<\/a> (Left) before Chessed<\/a> (Right) in order to have the vessel ready for the Light from the Right.<\/p>\n

\nThe word ‘him’ ‘אֹתוֹ’ in ‘do not fear him’ in its perfect form is written with two ו Vavs ‘אוֹתוֹ’ that also represent the mark of the covenant, circumcision<\/a>. Og was one close to Abraham and his household. When Abraham circumcised himself, all the men of his house including Og were circumcised (Genesis 17:26<\/a>,27).<\/p>\n

\nOg was the last of the Rephaim that we explained in DZ 3071 <https:\/\/staging.dailyzohar.com\/daily-zohar-3071\/<\/a>>. He was a giant and lived a long life through the Flood at the time of Noach until the battle with the Israelites<\/a>. He thought that he was stronger than the Israelites<\/a> because he was circumcised before them. Moses feared him for the same reason. God told Moses to not fear Og because even though he had merits for the circumcision<\/a>, He corrupted his ‘covenant’ and lost the connection to Chassadim<\/a> from the Right. That loss is represented by the missing letter Vav from the word ‘אֹתוֹ’, ‘him’. Og was connected only to the Left that is all judgments. Moses was in the middle joining the Left and the Right and therefore could destroy Og and his nation as they actually did (Numbers 21:35<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nWe learn that the connection to the Left is made by preparing the vessel and desire, then make the action and prayers to draw the Light of Chassadim<\/a> from the Right into the vessel that is properly ready for it.
\nAnother lesson from Og is that even if we do good did and spiritual connection, we can lose it if we don’t maintain the purity of the vessel.<\/p>\n
