87. בְּאוֹתָהּ שָׁעָה פָּחַד מֹשֶׁה, אֵיךְ יָכוֹל לַעֲקֹר רֹשֶׁם שֶׁרָשַׁם אַבְרָהָם? אָמַר, בְּוַדַּאי הַיָּמִין שֶׁלִּי מֵת, שֶׁהֲרֵי הַיָּמִין צָרִיךְ לָזֶה. אִם נֹאמַר הֲרֵי אֶלְעָזָר – יְמִין הַלְּבָנָה הוּא וְלֹא יְמִינִי. וְהָאוֹת הַזֶּה לְיָמִין הוּא, שֶׁאַבְרָהָם הוּא לְיָמִין.

\nWhen Moses feared to confront Og the king of Bashan, he was thinking about how to disable the positive impression that Abraham left on Og when he circumcised him and connected him to the Right. Moses had Aaron that was his Right but he passed away. He knew that he couldn’t win without connection to the Right. There was Elazar, the son of Aaron that was on the Right but on the level of Malchut<\/a>. Elazar was not elevated as Aaron was and couldn’t replace the Right aspect for Moses. Og had the mark of the covenant from Abraham that puts Og on the Right of Zeir Anpin<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nGod saw Moses’s thoughts and told him not to fear because he doesn’t even need the Right. The Left of Moses was strong enough to eradicate Og from the world. Due to improper sexual relationships, Og flawed his aspect of Yessod<\/a> and disconnected himself from the covenant of Abraham. That alone brought judgment on him to be removed from the world. The judgment from the Left of Moses was strong enough to execute the judgment that was already decreed on Og the giant that came to attack and stop the Israelites<\/a>. For that reason he was destroyed.<\/p>\n

\nThe army of Israel<\/a> lead by Moses killed the sons of Og and his entire nation, Erasing his memory.<\/p>\n

\nAs the descendants of Abraham, we benefit from the promise God gave Abraham.
\nGenesis 17:7<\/a>
\n“וַהֲקִמֹתִי אֶת-בְּרִיתִי בֵּינִי וּבֵינֶךָ, וּבֵין זַרְעֲךָ אַחֲרֶיךָ לְדֹרֹתָם–לִבְרִית עוֹלָם: לִהְיוֹת לְךָ לֵאלֹהִים, וּלְזַרְעֲךָ אַחֲרֶיךָ”
\n“”I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to you and to your descendants after you.”<\/p>\n

Later, the prophet Isaiah reminds us of the covenant and the Torah that we should keep our connection to it forever.

\n“וַאֲנִי, זֹאת בְּרִיתִי אוֹתָם אָמַר יְהוָה–רוּחִי אֲשֶׁר עָלֶיךָ, וּדְבָרַי אֲשֶׁר-שַׂמְתִּי בְּפִיךָ: לֹא-יָמוּשׁוּ מִפִּיךָ וּמִפִּי זַרְעֲךָ וּמִפִּי זֶרַע זַרְעֲךָ, אָמַר יְהוָה, מֵעַתָּה, וְעַד-עוֹלָם”
\n“”As for Me, this is My covenant with them,” says YHVH<\/a>: “My Spirit which is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your offspring, nor from the mouth of your offspring’s offspring,” says YHVH<\/a>, “from now and forever.””<\/p>\n
