\n“יְהוָה בְּצֵאתְךָ מִשֵּׂעִיר בְּצַעְדְּךָ מִשְּׂדֵה אֱדוֹם אֶרֶץ רָעָשָׁה גַּם שָׁמַיִם נָטָפוּ גַּם עָבִים נָטְפוּ מָיִם.”
\n“”YHVH<\/a>, when You went out from Seir, When You marched from the field of Edom, The earth quaked, the heavens also dripped, Even the clouds dripped water.”
\nWhen God wanted to give the Torah to the children of Israel<\/a>, he invited the children of Esau, but they rejected it. Then he went to the children of Ishmael, but they also rejected the Torah. After both rejected the Torah, God returned to the Israelites<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Deuteronomy 33:2<\/a>
\n“וַיֹּאמַר, יְהוָה מִסִּינַי בָּא וְזָרַח מִשֵּׂעִיר לָמוֹ–הוֹפִיעַ מֵהַר פָּארָן, וְאָתָה מֵרִבְבֹת קֹדֶשׁ; מִימִינוֹ, אֵשׁ דָּת לָמוֹ”
\n“He said, “YHVH<\/a> came from Sinai, And dawned on them from Seir; He shone forth from Mount Paran, And He came from the midst of ten thousand holy ones; At His right hand there was flashing lightning for them.”<\/p>\n

\nTo have a better understanding, the Zohar asks questions about who the prophet from the children of Esau was that God revealed himself when he went to Seir. And when he went to Paran, to the children of Ishmael, who was the prophet that saw a revelation of God. Who received the invitation to receive the Torah? If we think that God revealed himself to their entire nations, then it’s not so because such revelation is written only about Moses and the children of Israel<\/a>. There’s no mention of the revelation of God to any other nation.<\/p>\n

The verse should say ‘YHVH<\/a> came to Sinai’ ‘and dawned to Seir’,’ shown to Mount Paran’ and what is ‘from Seir’ ‘מִשֵּׂעִיר לָמוֹ’ (There’s no translation for the word ‘לָמוֹ’). These questions raised by the Zohar looking for answers.<\/p>\n

Lesson
\nThe process of revealing Light from the Torah is by asking questions. The Zohar quotes verses from the Torah and Bible, raise questions and answer them by explaining different aspects of the verses, revealing Light. The sacred text conceals many levels of understanding that is pure Light. The Zohar tells us that there’s no disrespect to the Torah if one asks difficult questions for understanding and revealing the Light behind the questions.
\nEach of the Hebrew letters<\/a> and words of the Torah is a source of Light and a treasure that enriches our souls and lives. Rabbi Avraham Azulai in his book Chessed<\/a> L’Avraham (3rd spring, river 22, מעין ג – נהר כב) reveals to us that after the coming of Mashiach, those who focused on revealing the Light of the Torah will enjoy great material wealth. Mashiach would complete the correction of the world and there will be no more personal Tikun process<\/a>. It would be a time to enjoy the material world, each according to his level if he merited to be resurrected at that time. All the treasures of the world that sank in the seas from the time of King Solomon until the last days before Mashiach would be washed out from the sea onto the land of Israel<\/a>. Mashiach would give from these treasures to every one according to their merits.
\nThe Children of Israel<\/a> have the keys to the future treasures and we gather these keys with the study of Torah through the Zohar.<\/p>\n
