148. כֵּיוָן שֶׁנָּטַל מַתָּנוֹת אֵלּוּ לְיִשְׂרָאֵל מֵאוֹתָם שַׁלִּיטִים גְּדוֹלִים, בָּא וְקָרָא לְכָל אוֹתָם רִבְבוֹת קֹדֶשׁ שֶׁמְּמֻנִּים עַל שְׁאָר הָעַמִּים, וְהֵשִׁיבוּ לוֹ גַּם כָּךְ, וּמִכֻּלָּם קִבֵּל וְנָטַל מַתָּנוֹת לָתֵת לָהֶם לְיִשְׂרָאֵל. לְרוֹפֵא שֶׁהָיָה לוֹ כְּלִי אֶחָד מָלֵא סַם חַיִּים וּשְׁמָרוֹ לִבְנוֹ. רָצָה לָתֵת לִבְנוֹ אֶת אוֹתוֹ כְּלִי שֶׁמֶן אֲפַרְסְמוֹן שֶׁל סַם חַיִּים. הָרוֹפֵא הָיָה חָכָם, אָמַר: עֲבָדִים רָעִים יֵשׁ בְּבֵיתִי, אִם יֵדְעוּ שֶׁאֲנִי נוֹתֵן לִבְנִי אוֹצָר זֶה, יֵרַע בְּעֵינֵיהֶם וְיִרְצוּ לְהָרְגוֹ.
\n149. מֶה עָשָׂה? לָקַח קְצָת סַם הַמָּוֶת וְנָתַן עַל פֶּתַח הַכְּלִי, קָרָא לַעֲבָדָיו וְאָמַר לָהֶם: אַתֶּם נֶאֱמָנִים לְפָנַי, הֲתִרְצוּ אֶת אוֹתוֹ הַסַּם? אָמְרוּ: נִרְאֶה מַה זֶּה. טֶרֶם הֵרִיחוּ רָצוּ לָמוּת. אָמְרוּ בְלִבָּם: אִם סַם זֶה יִתֵּן לִבְנוֹ, וַדַּאי יָמוּת, וְאָנוּ נִירַשׁ אֶת אֲדוֹנֵנוּ. אָמְרוּ לְפָנָיו: מוֹרֵנוּ, סַם זֶה לֹא רָאוּי אֶלָּא לְבִנְךָ, וַהֲרֵי שְׂכַר עֲבוֹדָתֵנוּ הִשְׁאַרְנוּ אֶצְלְךָ, לֵךְ וְתֵן לוֹ לְשֹׁחַד שֶׁיְּקַבֵּל סַם זֶה.<\/div>\n

Deuteronomy 33:2<\/a>
\n“וַיֹּאמַר, יְהוָה מִסִּינַי בָּא וְזָרַח מִשֵּׂעִיר לָמוֹ–הוֹפִיעַ מֵהַר פָּארָן, וְאָתָה מֵרִבְבֹת קֹדֶשׁ; מִימִינוֹ, אֵשׁ דָּת לָמוֹ”
\n“He said, “YHVH<\/a> came from Sinai, And dawned on them from Seir; He appeared from Mount Paran, And He came from the midst of ten thousand holy ones; At His right hand there was flashing lightning for them.”<\/p>\n

\nThe Zohar explains that ‘And He came from the midst of ten thousand holy ones’ reveals that after God took the gifts of Light from ministers of Esau and Ishmael, he called the ministers of the other nations. They rejected the Torah with similar answers like Sam-el<\/a> and Rahav and gave him gifts for the children of Israel<\/a>.
\nIt’s like a healer that had a vessel with a new drug of life and wished to keep it to his son. The healer was wise and knew that the servants in his house would know the value of the gift he wants to give his son, they would hate his son and want to kill him.<\/p>\n

\nTo protect his son, the healer took a little of the drug and put a drug of death at the opening of the vessel and call his servants, telling them; ‘you are my faithful faithful servants, would you like this new drug?’. They wanted to taste the drug but before they could even smell it, they felt like dying. In their heart, they thought that if the drug goes to his son, he will die and they will inherit their master. They pushed the drug away, saying they are not worthy for it, and it should go to his son. They add their earnings as an incentive bribe so the son would take the drug. <\/p>\n
