\nJudges 5:4<\/a>
\n“יְהוָה בְּצֵאתְךָ מִשֵּׂעִיר בְּצַעְדְּךָ מִשְּׂדֵה אֱדוֹם אֶרֶץ רָעָשָׁה גַּם שָׁמַיִם נָטָפוּ גַּם עָבִים נָטְפוּ מָיִם.”
\n“LORD, when you went out from Seir when you marched from the region of Edom, the earth trembled, and the heavens dropped, yes, the clouds dropped water.”
\nRabbi Yosei explains that when God returned from Seir after the ministers of the nations didn’t receive the Torah, the earth trembled because the earth wanted to go back to the state before Creation. The Holy One Blessed be He had a condition at the time of Creation that if the Israelites<\/a> won’t accept the Torah, he will take the world back into ‘formless and void’ (Genesis 1:2<\/a>).
\nThe earth trembled after seeing that all the nations rejected the Torah and assumed that the Israelites<\/a> would do the same.
\nPsalms 76:9<\/a>
\n“מִשָּׁמַיִם הִשְׁמַעְתָּ דִּין אֶרֶץ יָרְאָה וְשָׁקָטָה.”
\n“From heaven, you pronounced judgment, and the land feared and was quiet”
\nThe word ‘יָרְאָה’, ‘feared’ in this verse also has the meaning of ‘Saw’. After the earth saw that the Israelites<\/a> accepted the Torah, saying “We will do, and obey” (Exodus 24:7<\/a>), the land became still and quiet.<\/p>\n

\nBecause the Israelites<\/a> said, “We will do, and obey”, they didn’t fear any of the magicians and wizards of the world. They saw how God took them out of Egypt and broke all their magics and witchcrafts, so they won’t be able to control the Israelites<\/a>.
\nWhen Balak came, he knew that he won’t be able to use his magic against them, so he called Balaam that had a special method, that was a table of connection to the Klipa<\/a> of Malchut<\/a> (see DZ 3087, paragraphs 136,137 ) and may find a plan against the Israelites<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nThe earth trembled when there was no connection to the Torah in this world but quieted down when the Israelites<\/a> accepted the Torah, saying “We will do, and obey”. The Torah is the ‘tool’ that links between the force of the Endless Light and nature. Every atom in this world is held by a force that keeps its particles together under laws set by the Endless. This is how the Endless limits its force and presence in the material world. There are a limited number of elements that are the building blocks of this world. (see the periodic table of elements).
\nWhen the Israelites<\/a> accepted the Torah, the also took the responsibility to maintain the presence of the light of the Endless in this world. The earth trembled because the force of the Endless that holds every atom in Malchut<\/a> was about to disconnect and breaks everything in existence. The nature around us reacts negatively (earthquakes (CA!), stormes, etc.) when we don’t have enough light to keep it tranquil.
\nAs we explained previously, Tzadikim that has a complete connection to the Torah channels the Light of the Endless and have mind over matter. They can command\/rearrange the atoms\/molecules in any form they have in their mind (that radiate light of the Endless). When Tzadikim of this level passes away, their soul ascends and their body doesn’t get decayed because even the lowest level of their soul that stays in the body is completely pure. <\/p>\n
