190. כָּל חֵילוֹת הַשָּׁמַיִם שׁוֹאֲלִים אֵלֶּה לְאֵלֶּה: בַּמֶּה מִתְעַסֵּק הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא? בַּמֶּה מִשְׁתַּדֵּל? אוֹמְרִים: מִתְיַחֵד בְּעֶרְגָּה בַּכֵּלִים שֶׁלּוֹ. כֻּלָּם לֹא יוֹדְעִים מַה נַּעֲשֶׂה מִתְּפִלַּת אוֹתוֹ עָנִי וּמִכָּל אוֹתָן תַּרְעוֹמוֹתָיו. שֶׁאֵין תַּאֲוָה לֶעָנִי אֶלָּא כְּשֶׁשּׁוֹפֵךְ דִּמְעוֹתָיו בְּתַרְעֹמֶת לִפְנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ הַקָּדוֹשׁ, וְאֵין תַּאֲוָה לַקָּדוֹשׁ-בָּרוּךְ-הוּא אֶלָּא כְּשֶׁמְּקַבֵּל אוֹתָם וְנִשְׁפָּכִים לְפָנָיו. וְזוֹהִי תְפִלָּה שֶׁעוֹשָׂה עִטּוּף וְעוֹטֶפֶת כָּל תְּפִלּוֹת הָעוֹלָם.
\n191. מֹשֶׁה הִתְפַּלֵּל תְּפִלָּתוֹ, וְהִתְעַכֵּב כַּמָּה יָמִים בִּתְפִלָּה זוֹ. דָּוִד רָאָה שֶׁכָּל הַחַלּוֹנוֹת וְכָל שַׁעֲרֵי הַשָּׁמַיִם, כֻּלָּם מְזֻמָּנִים לְהִפָּתֵחַ לְעָנִי, וְאֵין בְּכָל תְּפִלּוֹת הָעוֹלָם שֶׁהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא מַקְשִׁיב מִיָּד כְּמוֹ לִתְפִלַּת הֶעָנִי. כֵּיוָן שֶׁרָאָה אֶת זֶה, עָשָׂה עַצְמוֹ עָנִי וּמִסְכֵּן. פָּשַׁט לְבוּשׁ הַמַּלְכוּת וְיָשַׁב עַל הָאָרֶץ כְּמוֹ עָנִי וְאָמַר תְּפִלָּה, שֶׁכָּתוּב (תהלים פו) תְּפִלָּה לְדָוִד הַטֵּה ה’ אָזְנְךָ עֲנֵנִי. וְאִם תֹּאמַר לָמָּה? בִּגְלַל כִּי עָנִי וְאֶבְיוֹן אָנִי. אָמַר לוֹ הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא, דָּוִד, וְלֹא מֶלֶךְ אַתָּה, וְשׁוֹלֵט עַל מְלָכִים חֲזָקִים, וְאַתָּה עוֹשֶׂה עַצְמְךָ עָנִי וְאֶבְיוֹן?! מִיָּד הֶחֱזִיר תְּפִלָּתוֹ לְגָוֶן אַחֵר וְעָזַב דְּבַר אֶבְיוֹן וְעָנִי, וְאָמַר שָׁמְרָה נַפְשִׁי כִּי חָסִיד אָנִי. וְעִם כָּל זֶה, הַכֹּל הָיָה בְּדָוִד.<\/div>\n

\nThe armies of heavens ask each other about where the Holy One Blessed be He focuses his attention. They are told that his desire is to have unification with his vessels that are brokenhearted people. Nobody knows what is done with the prayer of the poor because the power of these prayers comes from the desires and the pain that brings the poor to tears and complaints to God. The Holy One Blessed be He accepts these prayers and they are poured in front of him. Because of that, all other prayers are delayed.<\/p>\n

\nMoses made his prayers and was delayed several days because of the prayers of the poor. King David saw that the windows and the gates of heaven are ready to open for the prayer of the poor so he removed his royal clothes and sat on the ground as a poor person, saying his prayer;
\nPsalms 86:1<\/a>
\n“תְּפִלָּה לְדָוִד הַטֵּה יְהוָה אָזְנְךָ עֲנֵנִי כִּי עָנִי וְאֶבְיוֹן אָנִי.”
\n“A Prayer of David. Incline Your ear, O YHVH<\/a>, and answer me; For I am poor and needy.”<\/p>\n

God asked him; aren’t you a king and ruler over other great kings? Immediately King David change his prayer and said;
\nPsalms 86:2<\/a>
\n“שָׁמְרָה נַפְשִׁי כִּי חָסִיד אָנִי הוֹשַׁע עַבְדְּךָ אַתָּה אֱלֹהַי הַבּוֹטֵחַ אֵלֶיךָ.”
\n“Preserve my soul, for I am a godly man; O You my God, save Your servant who trusts in You.”
\nHe left out the words ‘poor and needy’ and used ‘godly’ (חסיד, Chassid) and ‘your servant’.
\nThis teaches us that King David expressed himself in his prayers as a poor and also as a faithful servant of God.<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nOur prayers should be honest and from the heart, so our ‘demands’ would come closer to God. The pain of a broken heart represents a lack of Light and tears express the desire to receive the Light from the upper levels. It’s like a strong vacuum that draws the ‘attention’ of God.
\nMalchut<\/a> doesn’t have the light of its own and that ‘empty’ vessel has the greatest desire for the light.<\/p>\n
