(מְזוּזָה נִקְרֵאת) מָקוֹם שֶׁפֶּתַח הַבַּיִת שׁוֹרֶה, כְּדֻגְמָא שֶׁלְּמַעְלָה, מָקוֹם שֶׁפֶּתַח הַבַּיִת הָעֶלְיוֹן שׁוֹרֶה נִקְרָא מְזוּזָה, שֶׁהוּא תִּקּוּן הַבַּיִת וּפֶתַח הַבַּיִת. מֵאוֹתָהּ מְזוּזָה בּוֹרְחִים בַּעֲלֵי שְׁמִירַת הַחֻקִּים. בַּעֲלֵי הַדִּינִים לֹא נִמְצָאִים לְפָנֶיהָ. וּכְנֶגֶד זֶה לְמַטָּה, כְּשֶׁאָדָם מַתְקִין מְזוּזָה לַבַּיִת וְהַשֵּׁם הַקָּדוֹשׁ הַזֶּה רָשׁוּם בְּאוֹתִיּוֹתָיו, הָאָדָם הַזֶּה מִתְעַטֵּר בְּעַטְרוֹת רִבּוֹנוֹ, וְלֹא קְרֵבִים לְפֶתַח בֵּיתוֹ מִינִים רָעִים וְלֹא נִמְצָאִים שָׁם.
\n110. רַבִּי אַבָּא הָיָה בָּא מִלִּרְאוֹת אֶת רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן, פָּגַע בּוֹ רַבִּי יִצְחָק, אָמַר לוֹ, מֵאַיִן בָּאתָ בַּעַל הָאוֹר? אִישׁ שֶׁנִּדְבָּק בְּאֵשׁ אוֹכֶלֶת כָּל יוֹם, הֲרֵי הָאוֹר שׁוֹרֶה עִמּוֹ. אָמַר לוֹ, שָׁנִינוּ שֶׁחִיּוּב עַל הָאָדָם לְקַבֵּל פְּנֵי שְׁכִינָה בְּכָל רֹאשׁ חֹדֶשׁ וְשַׁבָּתוֹת, וּמִיהוּ? רַבּוֹ. כָּל שֶׁכֵּן מְנוֹרָה הָעֶלְיוֹנָה הַקְּדוֹשָׁה שֶׁכָּל בְּנֵי הָעוֹלָם רוֹצִים לְקַבֵּל פָּנָיו. אָמַר רַבִּי יִצְחָק, אֶחֱזֹר עִמְּךָ וַאֲקַבֵּל פְּנֵי הַשְּׁכִינָה, וְאֶטְעַם מֵאוֹתָם דְּבָרִים עֶלְיוֹנִים שֶׁטָּעַמְתָּ לְפָנָיו.
\n111. פָּתַח רַבִּי אַבָּא וְאָמַר, (שם קכג) שִׁיר הַמַּעֲלוֹת אֵלֶיךָ נָשָׂאתִי אֶת עֵינַי הַיֹּשְׁבִי בַּשָּׁמָיִם. שִׁיר זֶה לֹא כָתוּב מִי אֲמָרוֹ. אֶלָּא בְּכָל מָקוֹם שֶׁהוּא סָתוּם, רוּחַ הַקֹּדֶשׁ אָמְרָה עַל כְּנֶסֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל בַּגָּלוּת. הַיֹּשְׁבִי בַּשָּׁמָיִם?! הַיּוֹשֵׁב צָרִיךְ לוֹ לִכְתֹּב! מַה זֶּה הַיֹּשְׁבִי?<\/div>\n

\nThe spiritual place that is parallel to the physical entry of the home is called Mezuzah. It’s the opening and is the foundation of the home. The Mezuzah keeps away the judgment forces. When a person fixes a Mezuzah on his doorpost, the Holy name שדי is present in the place and prevents negative forces from coming closer to the home.<\/p>\n

\nRabbi Aba was on his way after visiting Rabbi Shimon. He came across Rabbi Yitzchak that greeted him with great honor, calling him ‘owner of Light’, a man that the Light with him without even asking for it. Rabbi Yitzchak also described Rabbi Aba as a man that adheres to the ‘consuming fire’ that is the Torah. Then he asked him; where are you coming from? Rabbi Aba answers that he had learned that a man has a duty to welcome the Shechina every Rosh Chodesh<\/a> and every Shabbat. It is done by visiting his master and especially when his master is a supernal<\/a> holy light<\/a> like Rabbi Shimon and the entire world need to welcome his presence.<\/p>\n

Rabbi Yitzchak said; I’ll come back with you to Rabbi Shimon to see the Shechina and taste from the supernal<\/a> words you have tasted from him.<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nThe Mezuzah on the doorpost connects to its spiritual root and draw the holy name שדי that is written on the back of the rolled parchment of the Mezuzah. It important to have a clear housing for the Mezuzah so this name would be visible when passing through the door. Most Mezuzahs have only the first letter ש of the name שדי but that is not enough to give full protection.<\/p>\n

The story about Rabbi Aba and Rabbi Yitzchak strongly connects to the Mezuzah that draws the light of protection with the connection to the Holy name שדי.<\/p>\n

Rabbi Yitzchak saw the great light that was radiating from Rabbi Aba that came from visiting Rabbi Shimon. He decided immediately to visit Rabbi Shimon and connect to his light.<\/p>\n

Like the Mezuzah is a ‘tool’ that channels Light of protection to us and our home so is the Tzadikim in this world that draw supernal<\/a> Light to this world.<\/p>\n

The Zohar studies connect us to the Light that Rabbi Shimon revealed in the world. Studies on Shabbat are on a higher level because we have the Shechinah with the Light of Binah<\/a> available to support our connections.<\/p>\n

On the Hilulah days of Tzadikim as well as on the fifteenth of the Hebrew month and Erev Rosh Chodesh<\/a> we can connect to Tzadikim by lighting candles and study Zohar in their honor to have their support for our prayers.<\/p>\n
