80. יַעֲקֹב כְּמוֹ כֵן מִשּׁוּם כָּךְ לֹא הֶאֱמִין. אִם תֹּאמַר שֶׁלֹּא הֶאֱמִין בַּקָּדוֹשׁ-בָּרוּךְ-הוּא – לֹא. אֶלָּא שֶׁלֹּא הֶאֱמִין בְּעַצְמוֹ. אוּלַי יֶחֱטָא, וְאוֹתוֹ הַחֵטְא יִמְנַע אוֹתוֹ שֶׁלֹּא יָשׁוּב בְּשָׁלוֹם וְתִסְתַּלֵּק מִמֶּנּוּ הַשְּׁמִירָה, וּמִשּׁוּם כָּךְ לֹא הֶאֱמִין בְּעַצְמוֹ. וְהָיָה ה’ לִי לֵאלֹהִים אֲפִלּוּ רַחֲמִים, כְּשֶׁאָשׁוּב בְּשָׁלוֹם, אָשִׂים כְּנֶגְדִּי אֶת הַדִּין, מִשּׁוּם [שֶׁהֲרֵי] שֶׁאֲנִי עוֹבֵד לְפָנָיו תָּמִיד.
\n81. אָמַר רַבִּי אָחָא, אָמַר יַעֲקֹב, כָּעֵת אֵינִי צָרִיךְ אֶת הַדִּין. כְּשֶׁאָשׁוּב לְבֵית אָבִי אֶתְכַּלֵּל בַּדִּין וְאֶתְקַשֵּׁר בּוֹ. אָמַר רַבִּי יוֹסֵי, לֹא כָּךְ, אֶלָּא אָמַר, עַכְשָׁו אִם יִהְיֶה אֱלֹהִים עִמָּדִי, אֲנִי צָרִיךְ שֶׁהַדִּין יִשְׁמֹר אוֹתִי עַד שֶׁאָשׁוּב בְּשָׁלוֹם אֶל בֵּית אָבִי. אֲבָל כֵּיוָן שֶׁאָשׁוּב בְּשָׁלוֹם, אַכְלִיל אֶת הָרַחֲמִים בַּדִּין, וְאֶתְקַשֵּׁר בְּקֶשֶׁר נֶאֱמָן לְהַכְלִיל הַכֹּל יַחַד. וְהָאֶבֶן הַזֹּאת אֲשֶׁר שַׂמְתִּי מַצֵּבָה יִהְיֶה בֵּית אֱלֹהִים, שֶׁהֲרֵי אָז הַכֹּל יִהְיֶה קֶשֶׁר אֶחָד, וְהָאֶבֶן הַזּוֹ מִתְבָּרֶכֶת מִיָּמִין וּמִשְּׂמֹאל, מִתְבָּרֶכֶת מִמַּעְלָה וּמִמַּטָּה, מִשּׁוּם [זֶה] שֶׁאֶתֵּן מַעֲשֵׂר מִכֹּל.<\/div>\n

\nZohar Vayetze<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nJacob had full trust in God’s promise to be with him and protect him wherever he goes but he feared that the increase of wickedness in the world would affect him to fall off the righteous path and lose God’s protection. He wanted to have a safe way back to his “father’s house” and get there with peace.
\n“and YHVH<\/a> will be for me, God ( ‘אֱלֹהִים’ ‘ELHYM’)”. Jacob asked the support of YHVH<\/a> that is Right and mercy. ELHYM is the aspect of the Left column<\/a>, Gevurah<\/a>.
\nIn the beginning, Jacob was connected mostly to the Right. After he came back to the Holy Land and won over the angel of the other side<\/a> he achieved the level of Israel<\/a> ישראל. It unifies the Right and the Left and gives Jacob the aspect of ‘head’, ראש. The name Israel<\/a> has the words, “לי ראש”, “I have a head”. Jacob’s goal was to reach the state of “YHVH<\/a> Will be for me, God” that is the aspect of unifying the Right that is YHVH<\/a> and the Left with the name ELHYM to achieve control over the Klipot<\/a> of the other-side<\/a> and bring peace.<\/p>\n

\nRabbi Yossi explains the above a little different and say that Jacob asked first (Genesis 28:21<\/a>) “If God will be with me”, to get the protection of the Left until he returns to the house of his father. Then he will be able to connect the Right with the Left to become one.
\nGenesis 28:22<\/a>
\n“וְהָאֶבֶן הַזֹּאת אֲשֶׁר שַׂמְתִּי מַצֵּבָה יִהְיֶה בֵּית אֱלֹהִים וְכֹל אֲשֶׁר תִּתֶּן לִי עַשֵּׂר אֲעַשְּׂרֶנּוּ לָךְ.”
\n“This stone, which I have set up as a pillar, will be God’s house, and of all that You give me I will surely give a tenth to You.”<\/p>\n

The stone is the aspect of Malchut<\/a> that receives the Light from all the Sefirot. When the Right and the Left join they form the Center column<\/a> that allows the Light to flow to Malchut<\/a>.
\nBecause Malchut<\/a> is the tenth Sefira that receives from all the sefirot above it, Jacob promised to give the tenth from all that he receives in order to reveal the Light of the nine sefirot that deliver the Light to Malchut<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nWe are called Israelites<\/a> because we are the descendants of the children of Israel<\/a>, who is Jacob. We have the ability to connect higher than any other spiritual system because of the ability to reach the ‘head’ that is the upper three sefirot and the source of Light. For that reason, we have a responsibility to draw light for the entire world. Israelites<\/a> presence is all over the world to serve as local receivers and broadcasters of Light wherever they are. <\/p>\n
