89. שָׁנִינוּ, קָשִׁים גֵּרִים לְיִשְׂרָאֵל כְּסַפַּחַת בְּעוֹר הַחַי, לְאַרְצָם. כָּתוּב (שם יד) כִּי יְרַחֵם ה’ אֶת יַעֲקֹב וּבָחַר עוֹד בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל [וְגוֹ’] וְנִלְוָה הַגֵּר עֲלֵיהֶם וְנִסְפְּחוּ עַל בֵּית יַעֲקֹב. כְּשֶׁיָּשׁוּבוּ לְאַרְצָם הַבָּנִים וְתִהְיֶה בֵינֵיהֶם אַהֲבָה, יִהְיֶה ה’ אֶחָד וּשְׁמוֹ אֶחָד, יִתְלַוּוּ גֵרִים עִם יִשְׂרָאֵל וְיִהְיוּ לָהֶם כְּסַפַּחַת בִּבְשָׂרָם.

Zohar Vayechi<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nGenesis 48:8<\/a>
\n“וַיַּרְא יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת בְּנֵי יוֹסֵף וַיֹּאמֶר מִי אֵלֶּה.”
\n“When Israel<\/a> saw the sons of Joseph<\/a>, he asked, “Who are these?”
\nThe Zohar explains that Jacob, who is Israel<\/a>, saw that in the future, his children will become a great nation. The Shechina then will ask “who are these” to know if they are all pure or blended with Erev Rav (The mixed multitude people that joined Israel<\/a> when they left Egypt).
\nThe children of Israel<\/a> will answer that they are his pure children and that they were separated from the Erev Rav. The converts of them will accept the covenant (circumcision<\/a>) and return to be one with Israel<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nIsaiah 14:1<\/a>
\n“ כִּי יְרַחֵם יְהוָה אֶת יַעֲקֹב וּבָחַר עוֹד בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל וְהִנִּיחָם עַל אַדְמָתָם וְנִלְוָה הַגֵּר עֲלֵיהֶם וְנִסְפְּחוּ עַל בֵּית יַעֲקֹב.”
\n“When YHVH<\/a> will have compassion on Jacob and again choose Israel<\/a>, and settle them in their own land, then strangers will join them and attach themselves to the house of Jacob.”
\nThe Talmud says that this situation is difficult for Israel<\/a>. When they return to their land they will experience love with the unification of the Light of Zeir Anpin<\/a> and Malchut<\/a>. Then the converts would join the Israelites<\/a> and become like a scaly patch (skin rash\/skin disease) on their flesh. <\/p>\n

\nRabbi Shimon explains the aspect of ‘scaly patch’ and says that it is related to the ‘borders’ of the land. Everyone would like to live in the Land of Israel<\/a> and there would be many converts.
\nThe difference between Israel<\/a> to the other nations is about the connection to the Tree of Life<\/a>. Israel<\/a> connects to the Center column<\/a> and the other nations hold to the Left column<\/a> without the desire to connect to the center.
\nAt the end of the Tikun<\/a>, the borders of Israel<\/a> would expand to the level of the world of Yetzirah, Zeir Anpin<\/a> to include the levels above of Beriah<\/a> and Atzilut<\/a>, which is the upper three Sefirot.<\/p>\n

Isaiah 54:2<\/a>,3
\n“הַרְחִיבִי מְקוֹם אָהֳלֵךְ וִירִיעוֹת מִשְׁכְּנוֹתַיִךְ יַטּוּ אַל תַּחְשֹׂכִי הַאֲרִיכִי מֵיתָרַיִךְ וִיתֵדֹתַיִךְ חַזֵּקִי.”
\n“כִּי יָמִין וּשְׂמֹאול תִּפְרֹצִי וְזַרְעֵךְ גּוֹיִם יִירָשׁ וְעָרִים נְשַׁמּוֹת יוֹשִׁיבוּ.”
\n“Enlarge the place of your tent; Stretch out the curtains of your dwellings, spare not; Lengthen your cords And strengthen your pegs.”
\n“For you will spread abroad to the right and to the left. And your descendants will possess nations And will resettle the desolate cities.”
\nThe converts that will live in the Land of Israel<\/a> but not from the root souls of the Israelites<\/a> may not accept the borders of the center column<\/a>, Zeir Anpin<\/a>, and would like to be outside of it. It weakens the center and that is why the verse tells “strengthen your pegs”.
\nConverts that have a small vessel, meaning their desires for the Light is low. It weakens the larger vessel of all Israelites<\/a> and for that reason, the sages say it would be difficult at the time of the Final Redemption.<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nThe Jewish\/Israelite soul has a bigger vessel compared to other nations. The ability to connect to the Center column<\/a> gives the Israelite’s soul a greater potential to achieve greatness in all aspects of life.
\nMany that have an Israelite spark in their soul return to their roots and convert. All converts earn the merit to be among the Israelites<\/a> at the time of the Redemption but not all will have a bigger vessel to enjoy the great light that will flow down from the world of Atzilut<\/a>.
\nSome converts go through a short process and have less desire than those that are ready to go 100% and accept a longer process and the hardship that comes with it. The Rabbi that converts a person needs to discourage and rejects convert several times to test his soul and its desire to receive greater light in life.
\nEach one of us, Jews or converts has a different size vessel. Even though the Light of the upper world would be available to all without restriction, there will still be a limit to the Light a person can enjoy. This would be determined by the size of the vessel and its desires.
\nWe grow our vessels by following the Torah, give Tzedakah and above all study a lot, preferably every day. When we get resurrected our vessel would wait for us to receive the Light of the future.<\/p>\n
