Zohar Shemot<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nExodus 1:8<\/a>
\n“וַיָּקָם מֶלֶךְ חָדָשׁ עַל מִצְרָיִם אֲשֶׁר לֹא יָדַע אֶת יוֹסֵף.”
\n“Now there arose a new king over Egypt, who did not know Joseph<\/a>.”
\nThis verse opens the story about the hardship that the Israelites<\/a> will go through in Egypt until Moses leads them out to freedom.<\/p>\n

Rabbi Aba opens the study and quotes the following verses, saying that the Israelites<\/a> are blessed because the Holy One Blessed be He chose them from all the nations of the world and brought them closer to him.
\nDeuteronomy 14:2<\/a>
\n“כִּי עַם קָדוֹשׁ אַתָּה לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ וּבְךָ בָּחַר יְהוָה לִהְיוֹת לוֹ לְעַם סְגֻלָּה מִכֹּל הָעַמִּים אֲשֶׁר עַל פְּנֵי הָאֲדָמָה.”
\n“”For you are a holy people to YHVH<\/a> your God, and YHVH<\/a> has chosen you to be a people for His own possession out of all the people who are on the face of the earth.”<\/p>\n

Isaiah 32:20<\/a>
\n“אַשְׁרֵיכֶם זֹרְעֵי עַל כָּל מָיִם מְשַׁלְּחֵי רֶגֶל הַשּׁוֹר וְהַחֲמוֹר.”
\n“How blessed will you be, you who sow beside all waters, Who let out freely the ox and the donkey.”<\/p>\n

Deuteronomy 32:9<\/a>
\n“כִּי חֵלֶק יְהוָה, עַמּוֹ: יַעֲקֹב, חֶבֶל נַחֲלָתוֹ.”
\n“For YHVH<\/a>’s portion is His people; Jacob is the allotment of His inheritance.”<\/p>\n

Deuteronomy 4:4<\/a>
\n“וְאַתֶּם הַדְּבֵקִים בַּיהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם חַיִּים כֻּלְּכֶם הַיּוֹם.”
\n“But you who held fast to YHVH<\/a> your God are alive today, every one of you.”<\/p>\n

\nThe Israelites<\/a> are considered righteous before God because they can create ‘female waters<\/a>’. It is the aspect of creating vessels and desires in this world to draw the Light from above (‘Male waters’) by studying the Torah. The actions that draw Light to Malchut<\/a> are called seeds of Tzedaka צדקה. Without the ‘seeds’ Malchut<\/a> is in the aspect of judgment, ‘Justice’, ‘צדק’, a word that is like Tzedaka but without the ה.
\nWhen we plant seeds of Tzedaka that are actions of creating ‘female waters<\/a>’ (מים נוקבין<\/a>), we draw the ה from Binah<\/a> and attach it to Malchut<\/a> ‘צדק’. Then Malchut<\/a> can be called ‘צדקה’,’Tzedaka’, ‘Righteousness’.<\/p>\n

Psalms 108:5<\/a>
\n“כִּי גָדוֹל מֵעַל שָׁמַיִם חַסְדֶּךָ וְעַד שְׁחָקִים אֲמִתֶּךָ.”
\n“Because your kindness (Chassadim<\/a>) is above the heavens, and your truth reaches deeper heavens.”<\/p>\n

The ‘truth’ is the center column<\/a> that leads us above Zeir Anpin<\/a>, the seven layers of ‘Heavens’, ‘שָׁמַיִם’ to Binah<\/a>, where we receive the Light to sustain Malchut<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Lesson;
\n‘Heavens’, ‘שָׁמַיִם’ is the aspect of Zeir Anpin<\/a> and created from Binah<\/a> by unifying fire ‘אש’ and water ‘מים’, the Right, Light and the Left, Darkness (Zohar Teruma from #701 on).<\/p>\n

There are seven levels of ‘heavens’.
\n1. וִילוֹן – Curtain – (Vilon) – Malchut<\/a>.
\n2. רָקִיעַ – Sky – (Rakia) – Yessod<\/a>
\n3. שְׁחָקִים – Heaven – (Shechakim). Same root as ‘grind’.- Netzach<\/a> and Hod<\/a>.
\n4. זְבוּל – Dwelling (there is no literal translation but the closest meaning I used here comes from Genesis 30:20<\/a> and 1 Kings 8:13<\/a> ) – (Zevul)
\n5. מָעוֹן – Home – (Ma’on) – Gevurah<\/a>
\n6. מָכוֹן – Institute – (Machon) – Chessed<\/a>
\n7. עֲרָבוֹת – Plains – (Aravot) – Da’at (equal to Keter<\/a>, Chokmah<\/a> and Binah<\/a> together)
\n(Please do not try to make sense of the translation of the names)<\/p>\n

The first level of the seven ‘Vilon’ is the ‘visual’ sky. The rest are spiritual levels that separate us from the lower level of Malchut<\/a> to the level of Binah<\/a> and Da’at.
\nThe tool that can break through the layers of heavens is our prayers and the sacred words of the Torah and Zohar. They create female waters<\/a> that draw the male waters from above and nourish us in this world. <\/p>\n
