וְעוֹד, לָמָּה צָרִיךְ חֲלִיצָה בַּנַּעַל בָּאִשָּׁה? מִשּׁוּם שֶׁמִּי שֶׁיָּמוּת בְּלִי בֵן, הוּא קָשׁוּר בְּרַגְלוֹ לַיַּבָּם, וְסוֹד הַדָּבָר – הוּא יְשׁוּפְךָ רֹאשׁ וְאַתָּה תְּשׁוּפֶנּוּ עָקֵב, וּכְדֵי שֶׁלֹּא יָמִית אוֹתוֹ הַנָּחָשׁ שֶׁהוּא כָרוּךְ עַל עֲקֵבוֹ, צָרִיךְ לַחֲלֹץ לְגַבֵּי נַעַל שֶׁל אִשָּׁה, וְנִפְטָר מִמֶּנּוּ אוֹתוֹ הַנָּחָשׁ.

The first sin disconnected Adam from Eve and the seeds of his first born went to the negative side. The process of continuation of life was transferred to the control of the Klipa<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Genesis 3:15<\/a>
\n“הוּא יְשׁוּפְךָ רֹאשׁ, וְאַתָּה תְּשׁוּפֶנּוּ עָקֵב. “
\n“He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise their heel ”<\/p>\n

To correct this aspect Adam was reincarnated in Jacob to have the opportunity to acquire back the rights of first born from Esau.<\/p>\n

The Zohar explains that the seed is the aspect of the Yod that Adam lost in the sin. When Jacob came out holding Esau’s heel and purchased the “first born rights”, he returned the Yod to its place.<\/p>\n

If a man dies before having a child, the continuation process is broken. To amend that another person from the same spiritual\/blood line should redeem the vessel and manifest this light in Malchut<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Torah in Genesis 38 tells the story of Yehuda and Tamar. It helps us understand the importance of the Yibum<\/a> process. Yehuda’s son, Er ער, was married to Tamar, a woman that his father chose for him, and died before having children. Yehudah sent the other son, Onan אונן, to redeem his daughter in law but Onan knew that she is not intended for him and spilled his seeds to the ground so he will not be the one to continue the seed of his brother. Because Onan didn’t continue the light to the vessel he brought death on himself.<\/p>\n

Yehuda saw the situation and held on the younger son, telling Tamar that he is waiting for him to grow up before giving him to her.<\/p>\n

Tamar was righteous and understood that Yehuda is her redeemer. She ‘tricked’ him into having sex with her and fulfilled her vessel.
\nThat trick was the cause and seed to bring Mashiach to the world.<\/p>\n

From Tamar came out Perez and from his descendant came out Boaz who married Ruth the Moabite with Yibum<\/a> (See the book of Ruth). They had Obed that begot Yishai that begot David. King David who is the aspect of Malchut<\/a> and the great desire for the light, created the vessel that will bring the redeemer, the Mashiach.<\/p>\n
