Tikkun 30<\/strong> -2<\/p>\n

The Bet ב of בְּרֵאשִׁית, “In the beginning”, is the aspect of the vessel, female energy. The dot inside it represents the light as the letter Yod and the blessings that it brings to the letter Bet. The letter Vav is the aspect of male and a channel of light.<\/p>\n

Ezeekiel 46:1<\/a>
\n“כֹּה-אָמַר, אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה, שַׁעַר הֶחָצֵר הַפְּנִימִית הַפֹּנֶה קָדִים, יִהְיֶה סָגוּר שֵׁשֶׁת יְמֵי הַמַּעֲשֶׂה; וּבְיוֹם הַשַּׁבָּת יִפָּתֵחַ, וּבְיוֹם הַחֹדֶשׁ יִפָּתֵחַ. ”
\n“Thus said YHVH<\/a> The gate of the inner court that is looked toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the sabbath day it shall be opened, and in the day of the new moon<\/a> it shall be opened.”<\/p>\n

The space inside the Bet is the aspect of the six days of creation and the dot is the seventh day, Shabbat. The light inside the Bet needs the Vav to channel it out and it can be done on Shabbat.<\/p>\n

The verse above tells us about the instruction that God, YHVH<\/a>, gave the priests<\/a> in the Holy Temple. He commanded to keep the inner gate that faces the east to be closed during week days and be opened on Shabbat. As the morning sun, the light comes to this world from the East, which is the aspect of Chessed<\/a>.
\nThe inner east gate is the aspect of the light of Binah<\/a> that appears on Shabbat.
\nBinah<\/a> is the first of the upper three Sefirot and Chessed<\/a> is the first of the lower seven Sefirot of the Tree of Life<\/a> . When the gate is open the light can flow from Binah<\/a> to Chessed<\/a> and below.<\/p>\n

The Zohar explains that the inner Yod of the Bet is revealed through the male channel. It comes out when we take the Torah out of the Ark on Shabbat and open it for reading. It comes out at the ‘Brit<\/a>’, which is the circumcision<\/a> process. The crown of the penis is revealed to bring light of life and blessings to the vessel.<\/p>\n

Shabbat has the light of Creation. “In the Beginning” of every thing in our lives we want to connect to this light to bring life into the process that we want to start.
\nA circumcision<\/a> is done after the child passes through his first Shabbat. This connects his channel to the light of Creation and the process of removing the foreskin reveals the light and the aspect of the letter Yod of his crown.<\/p>\n

Giving name to a girl is done on the second Shabbat after her birth because the first one cleanses her vessel and the second Shabbat brings the light with the naming of her soul, which is a male aspect of the process.<\/p>\n
