Zohar Ki Tisa<\/strong><\/p>\n

Exodus 32:4<\/a>
\n“וַיִּקַּח מִיָּדָם וַיָּצַר אֹתוֹ בַּחֶרֶט וַיַּעֲשֵׂהוּ עֵגֶל מַסֵּכָה וַיֹּאמְרוּ אֵלֶּה אֱלֹהֶיךָ יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר הֶעֱלוּךָ מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם.”
\n“He took this from their hands, and formed it with a graving tool and made it into a molded (מַסֵּכָה) calf; and they said, “These are your gods, O Israel<\/a> that brought you up from the land of Egypt.”<\/p>\n

\nThe magicians of the Erev Rav drew two spirits together, one male and one female. The spirit of Male dressed in the shape of Ox and the female spirit dressed in the shape of a Donkey.
\nThe male shape formed because the first harmful force of the other side<\/a> is called ‘Ox’.
\nThe Donkey shape because it was said about the Egyptian magicians that they have flesh of Donkeys.<\/p>\n

\nThe verse says, “and they said, ‘These are your gods’”. The plural form of the verse tells us that the Erev Rav declared it and not Aaron. ‘Gods’ refer to the two spiritual shapes that were part of the Golden Calf.<\/p>\n

\nThe word ‘מַסֵּכָה’ translated as ‘molded’ or ‘molten’ has a numerical value of 125. The Zohar explains that from the word ‘אלהים’ ‘God’ of the Holy side to the God of the other side<\/a> there are 120 arrangements of the word ‘אלהים’. For that reason, the Magicians use 120 weight units of Gold for creating the Golden Calf. The added 5 is for the 5 letters of the name ‘אלהים’.<\/p>\n

\nThe 120 units of Gold were very heavy. The Zohar explains that they brought only hands full to Aaron and ‘He took this from their hands’. It wasn’t the whole quantity but a small amount that represented the entire 120 units of weight.<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nWhen we create something new, we better conceal it from others, until it forms the shape that we are looking for. Because external consciousness can impact our actions significantly. The pregnancy of a woman is not visible for the first three months in order to protect the baby in its first and important stage of development.
\nSimilarly, with every new idea that we wish to bring to action, we better conceal it from any eye or ear that is not ready to support us. We may not have wicked magicians around us but every unkind consciousness or jealousy could negatively affect our actions.<\/p>\n
