98. בֹּא רְאֵה, בְּשָׁעָה שֶׁנִּמְצָא מָזוֹן לְמַטָּה, נִמְצָא מָזוֹן לְמַעְלָה. לְמֶלֶךְ שֶׁתִּקֵּן אֶת סְעוּדָתוֹ וְלֹא תִקֵּן לַעֲבָדָיו. כְּשֶׁתִּקֵּן לַעֲבָדָיו, הוּא אָכַל אֶת סְעוּדָתוֹ, וְהֵם אָכְלוּ אֶת סְעוּדָתָם. זֶהוּ שֶׁכָּתוּב(שם) אָכַלְתִּי יַעְרִי עִם דִּבְשִׁי – זוֹ סְעוּדַת הַמֶּלֶךְ. אִכְלוּ רֵעִים שְׁתוּ וְשִׁכְרוּ דּוֹדִים – זוֹ סְעוּדָתָם מֵרֵיחַ הַקָּרְבָּן, כְּשֶׁרֵיחַ הַקָּרְבָּן הָיָה עוֹלֶה, וּמִשּׁוּם כָּךְ נִקְרָא רֵיחַ נִיחֹחַ לַה’. רֵיחַ לַעֲבָדָיו, נִיחֹחַ לַה’. \n“בָּאתִי לְגַנִּי אֲחֹתִי כַלָּה אָרִיתִי מוֹרִי עִם בְּשָׂמִי אָכַלְתִּי יַעְרִי עִם דִּבְשִׁי שָׁתִיתִי יֵינִי עִם חֲלָבִי אִכְלוּ רֵעִים שְׁתוּ וְשִׁכְרוּ דּוֹדִים.”
\n“I have come to my garden, my sister, my spouse; I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk. Eat, O friends! Drink, yes, drink deeply, O beloved ones!”<\/p>\n

‘eaten my honeycomb with my honey’ is the King’s feast.
\n‘Eat, O friends! Drink, yes, drink deeply, O beloved ones!’ is the meal of the King’s servants. The meal is from the aroma from the offering that was brought and burnt on the Altar.
\nLeviticus 1:9<\/a>
\n“וְקִרְבּוֹ וּכְרָעָיו יִרְחַץ בַּמָּיִם וְהִקְטִיר הַכֹּהֵן אֶת הַכֹּל הַמִּזְבֵּחָה עֹלָה אִשֵּׁה רֵיחַ נִיחוֹחַ לַיהוָה.”
\n“but he shall wash its entrails and its legs with water. And the priest shall burn all on the altar as a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, a sweet aroma to YHVH<\/a>.”
\nWhen the Israelites<\/a> bring sacrifices and offerings to the Altar, the aroma ascends to the upper levels. The aroma is the aspect of Light of Chokmah<\/a> from the Left that is the ‘meal’ for the servants. They are in Malchut<\/a> and depend on the Light of Chokmah<\/a> with the Light of Chassadim<\/a> for their nourishments.
\nThe ‘sweet’ aspect of the aroma is the Chassadim<\/a> from the Right that ascends to YHVH<\/a>, Zeir Anpin<\/a>, and nourish the souls of Tzadikim that receive from the higher level. <\/p>\n

\nThe Holy One Blessed be He didn’t appoint a minister to govern us like the other nations. He took us under his protection and be close to him. Because of his love to us, he called us his servants.
\nLeviticus 25:55<\/a>
\n“כִּי לִי בְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל עֲבָדִים עֲבָדַי הֵם אֲשֶׁר הוֹצֵאתִי אוֹתָם מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם אֲנִי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם.”
\n“’ For the sons of Israel<\/a> are My servants; they are My servants whom I brought out from the land of Egypt. I am YHVH<\/a> your God.”
\nLater he called us “sons” (Deuteronomy 14:1<\/a>) “You are the sons of YHVH<\/a>, your God”
\nThen he called us ‘brothers’, Psalms 122:8<\/a>
\n“לְמַעַן אַחַי וְרֵעָי אֲדַבְּרָה נָּא שָׁלוֹם בָּךְ.”
\n“For the sake of my brothers and my friends, I will now say, “May peace be within you.”<\/p>\n

All of these special relations made so the Holy One Blessed be He can keep the Shechina among us and we all can be close to each other.<\/p>\n

Psalms 133:1<\/a>
\n“שִׁיר הַמַּעֲלוֹת לְדָוִד הִנֵּה מַה טּוֹב וּמַה נָּעִים שֶׁבֶת אַחִים גַּם יָחַד.”
\n“A Song of Ascents, of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers to dwell together in unity!”<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nThe aroma that feeds us and the upper levels can be produced by our studies and by letting go of our selfish desires. Every positive action adds a special aroma to our soul.
\nThe sages tell us that the Mashiach would recognize our souls just by their scent\/aroma. He won’t check for knowledge of birth certificate but for the ‘quality’ of aroma, we attached to ourselves. <\/p>\n
