104. בֹּא רְאֵה, כָּל הַשֶּׁפַע וְכָל שִׂמְחַת הָעוֹלָמוֹת לֹא יוֹרְדִים לְבָרֵךְ אֶלָּא עַל יְדֵי הַכְּתָרִים הַקְּדוֹשִׁים הַלָּלוּ, שֶׁהֵם שְׁמוֹ שֶׁל הַמֶּלֶךְ הַקָּדוֹשׁ, וּמִשּׁוּם כָּךְ שֶׁיּוֹרֵד עַל פִּי מִדּוֹתָיו. עַל פִּי מִדּוֹתָיו וַדַּאי, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר (במדבר ד)עַל פִּי אַהֲרֹן וּבָנָיו תִּהְיֶה. כָּךְ עַל פִּי מִדּוֹתָיו יוֹרֵד וּמַשְׁפִּיעַ לְכָל הָעוֹלָמוֹת, לְהַמְצִיא בְרָכוֹת לְכֻלָּם. וּבֹא רְאֵה, הַשֶּׁמֶן הַטּוֹב הַזֶּה אֵינוֹ זָמִין, עַד אוֹתוֹ זְמַן שֶׁהָעֲבוֹדָה שֶׁלְּמַטָּה הָיְתָה עוֹלָה וְנִפְגָּשִׁים זֶה בָּזֶה. זֶהוּ שֶׁכָּתוּב(משלי כז)שֶׁמֶן וּקְטֹרֶת יְשַׂמַּח לֵב. שֶׁמֶן לְמַעְלָה וּקְטֹרֶת לְמַטָּה, אֲזַי זוֹ שִׂמְחַת הַכֹּל. רַבִּי אָחָא וְרַבִּי יְהוּדָה זָקְפוּ יָדַיִם, וְהוֹדוּ לְרַבִּי אַבָּא.
\n105. רַבִּי אָחָא פָּתַח,(בראשית כ)וַיָּבֹא אֱלֹהִים אֶל אֲבִימֶלֶךְ בַּחֲלוֹם הַלָּיְלָה, וְכָתוּב וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו הָאֱלֹהִים בַּחֲלֹם גַּם אָנֹכִי יָדַעְתִּי כִּי בְתָם לְבָבְךָ עָשִׂיתָ זֹּאת. וַיָּבֹא אֱלֹהִים אֶל אֲבִימֶלֶךְ הַזֶּה, מַה שּׁוֹנֶה בְּאֻמּוֹת הָעוֹלָם וַיָּבֹא אֱלֹהִים, וּלְיִשְׂרָאֵל לֹא? Zohar Vayikra<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nThe Light and joy that come to all the worlds are possible because of the Sefirot of Zeir Anpin<\/a>. They provide a delivery line for the Light from upper to lower levels.
\nThe ‘Oil’ represents the nourishments that come from above and the Ketoret<\/a> represents the actions in the lower world that make the connection and bring nourishment and joy to the world.
\nProverbs 27:9<\/a>
\n“שֶׁמֶן וּקְטֹרֶת יְשַׂמַּח לֵב וּמֶתֶק רֵעֵהוּ מֵעֲצַת נָפֶשׁ.”
\n“Oil and perfume (Ketoret<\/a>, Incense) delight the heart, And the sweetness of a man’s friend gives delight by hearty counsel.”<\/p>\n

\nGenesis 20:3<\/a>
\n“וַיָּבֹא אֱלֹהִים אֶל אֲבִימֶלֶךְ בַּחֲלוֹם הַלָּיְלָה וַיֹּאמֶר לוֹ הִנְּךָ מֵת עַל הָאִשָּׁה אֲשֶׁר לָקַחְתָּ וְהִוא בְּעֻלַת בָּעַל.”
\n“But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, “Indeed you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken, for she is a man’s wife.”<\/p>\n

Rabbi Acha quotes this verse and asks about the difference between God’s (אֱלֹהִים) revelation to Israelites<\/a> and God’s revelation to other nations. He explains that when it says “And God came” it is referred to as the minister appointed by God to govern the other nation. It is the same when God revealed himself to Balaam (Numbers 22:20<\/a>)
\nThe Israelites<\/a> have a direct connection to God אֱלֹהִים, not through a minister.<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nThe word Ketoret<\/a> comes from the word קטר which means connection or a knot in Aramaic.
\nThe High Priest was burning the Ketoret<\/a> when he was setting oil and lighting the Menorah in the Holy Temple. The Menorah had seven candles for the Six sefirot of Zeir Anpin<\/a> and Malchut<\/a>. The Ketoret<\/a> burnt and created a straight column up to heavens as far as the eye can see. The column of smoke was not affected by weather conditions like wind or rain.
\nFor Ketoret<\/a> we can light a pure incense stick or better light a candle for a Tzadik and study Zohar in his honor. He will help us connect our prayers and meditations with the upper levels of heavens.
