84. אָמַר רַבִּי אַבָּא, שְׁנֵי מִזְבְּחוֹת הֵם לְמַטָּה, וּשְׁנַיִם לְמַעְלָה, אֶחָד פְּנִימִי שֶׁל הַכֹּל, שֶׁנִּקְרֶבֶת בּוֹ הַקְּטֹרֶת הַפְּנִימִית וְדַקָּה, קֶשֶׁר הָאֱמוּנָה, וְהַכֹּהֵן הָעֶלְיוֹן מֵהַכֹּל קוֹשֵׁר (מַקְטִיר) אֶת הַקְּטֹרֶת הַזּוֹ בְּקֶשֶׁר הָאֱמוּנָה, וְזֶה נִקְרָא מִזְבַּח הַזָּהָב. וּמִכָּאן נִקְטָר וְנִקְשָׁר קֶשֶׁר הָאֱמוּנָה בְּקֶשֶׁר אֶחָד. וּמִזְבֵּחַ אֶחָד אַחֵר שֶׁנִּקְרָא מִזְבַּח הַנְּחֹשֶׁת, וְזֶהוּ בַּחוּץ, (גָּדוֹל עֶלְיוֹן) וּמִיכָאֵל הַשַּׂר הַגָּדוֹל מַקְרִיב עָלָיו קָרְבָּן נִיחֹחַ לַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא. וּלְמַטָּה – מִזְבַּח הַזָּהָב וּמִזְבַּח הַנְּחֹשֶׁת, בָּזֶה קְטֹרֶת, וּבָזֶה חֲלָבִים וְאֵמוּרִים.
\n85. וְעַל זֶה כָּתוּב, (משלי כו) שֶׁמֶן וּקְטֹרֶת יְשַׂמַּח לֵב. וְלֹא כָתוּב שֶׁמֶן וַחֲלָבִים וְאֵמוּרִים יְשַׂמַּח, אַף עַל גַּב שֶׁהֵם הִתְבַּשְּׂמוּת שֶׁל הָרֹגֶז וְהַדִּין. אֲבָל שֶׁמֶן וּקְטֹרֶת הֵם שִׂמְחַת הַכֹּל, וְלֹא מִצַּד הָרֹגֶז וְהַדִּין. וְהַמִּזְבֵּחַ הַזֶּה שֶׁהוּא פְּנִימִי שֶׁל קְטֹרֶת (שֶׁהֵם פְּנִימִיּוּת הַקְּטֹרֶת) דַּקָּה, בְּדַקּוּת שֶׁל הַכֹּל, בְּקֶשֶׁר הָאֱמוּנָה, נִקְרָא קוֹל דְּמָמָה דַקָּה, וּמִשּׁוּם שֶׁהוּא הַמִּזְבֵּחַ הַפְּנִימִי שֶׁנִּקְשָׁר בְּקֶשֶׁר הָאֱמוּנָה.
\n86. מִזְבֵּחַ אַחֵר נִקְרָא מִזְבֵּחַ הַחִיצוֹן, וְהַפְּנִימִי נִקְרָא מִזְבַּח ה’. הָאַחֵר נִקְרָא מִזְבַּח הַנְּחֹשֶׁת, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר (מלכים-א ח) מִזְבַּח הַנְּחֹשֶׁת אֲשֶׁר לִפְנֵי ה’ קָטֹן מֵהָכִיל וְגוֹ’. רַבִּי יוֹסֵי אָמַר מִכָּאן, (דברים לג) וְכָלִיל עַל מִזְבְּחֶךָ, שְׁנַיִם. וְכָתוּב עַל מִזְבְּחוֹתַי לְרָצוֹן.<\/div>\n

\nRabbi Aba explains that the two altars in the Holy Temple have two Holy Altars parallel to them in the upper levels. The inner Altar is the Golden Altar where the High Priest burns the incense twice a day and connects to the Holy Altar above.
\nThe other Altar is outside, large and covered with copper. It is where the angel Michael<\/a>, brings sacrifices to raise aroma to the Holy One Blessed be He.<\/p>\n

The inner altar for the incense connects to Binah<\/a> and the outer altar connects to Zeir Anpin<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nProverbs 27:9<\/a>
\n“שֶׁמֶן וּקְטֹרֶת יְשַׂמַּח לֵב וּמֶתֶק רֵעֵהוּ מֵעֲצַת נָפֶשׁ.”
\n“Oil and perfume (Ketoret<\/a>, Incense) delight the heart, And the sweetness of a man’s friend gives delight by hearty counsel.”
\nIt is written Oil and Ketoret<\/a> ‘delight the heart’, not oil and other offerings.
\nOil and Ketoret<\/a> represent the unification of Chokmah<\/a>, oil, and Binah<\/a>, Ketoret<\/a>. They are on a higher level and free from judgments. Other offerings unify Zeir Anpin<\/a> and Malchut<\/a> and may have judgments attached to them. They don’t reach the level of joy that the Oil and Ketoret<\/a> bring.<\/p>\n

\nThe Golden Altar for the Ketoret<\/a> described as ‘Holy of Holies to YHVH<\/a>’ (Exodus 30:10<\/a>). The other Altar was called the Copper Altar.<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nThe inner Altar that was inside the Tabernacle, in front of the Holy of Holies, represents our inner faith<\/a> and connection to YHVH<\/a>. It represents the purity of our hearts and our consciousness when meditating and praying. <\/p>\n

The outer altar represents our positive actions, sacrifices, that may have a personal or selfish agenda attached to them, which is the aspect of judgments.
\nOur actions should be with the desire to connect to the Light of the Holy One Blessed be He as servants that need his protection and nourishments. <\/p>\n
