מִצְוָה שְׁנִיָּה, וַיֹּאמֶר אֱלֹהִי”ם יְהִי אוֹר וַיְהִי אוֹר, וְזוֹ אַהֲבָה שֶׁהִיא אַהֲבַת חֶסֶד. זֶהוּ שֶׁכָּתוּב וְאַהֲבַת עוֹלָם אֲהַבְתִּיךְ עַל כֵּן מְשַׁחְתִּיךְ חָסֶד, וְעָלֶיהָ נֶאֱמַר אִם תָּעִירוּ וְאִם תְּעוֹרְרוּ אֶת הָאַהֲבָה עַד שֶׁתֶּחְפָּץ. יִרְאָה נִקְרֵאת מִצַּד הַשְּׂמֹאל, וְאַהֲבָה נִקְרֵאת מִצַּד הַיָּמִין.<\/p>\n

יֵשׁ יִרְאָה וְיֵשׁ יִרְאָה, יֵשׁ אַהֲבָה וְיֵשׁ אַהֲבָה. יִרְאָה, שֶׁיָּרֵא אָדָם מֵהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא כְּדֵי שֶׁלֹּא יֵרֵד מִנְּכָסָיו אוֹ כְּדֵי שֶׁלֹּא יָמוּתוּ בָנָיו בְּחַיָּיו. נִמְצָא שֶׁאִם הָיָה יוֹרֵד מִנְּכָסָיו אוֹ אִם יָמוּתוּ בָנָיו בְּחַיָּיו, הוּא לֹא הָיָה יָרֵא מִמֶּנּוּ, וּמִשּׁוּם זֶה הָיָה אוֹהֵב אוֹתוֹ, הַיִּרְאָה וְהָאַהֲבָה הַלָּלוּ לֹא שָׂם אֶת יִרְאַת יהו”ה וְאֶת הָאַהֲבָה שֶׁלּוֹ לְעִקָּר, אֲבָל אַהֲבָה וְיִרְאָה הָעִקָּר שֶׁלּוֹ בֵּין טוֹב וּבֵין רַע, וּמִשּׁוּם זֶה נִקְרָאוֹת הַיִּרְאָה וְהָאַהֲבָה הַלָּלוּ עַל מְנָת לְקַבֵּל פְּרָס.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Tikkun 30<\/strong> – 5<\/p>\n

Genesis 1:3<\/a> “ וַיֹּאמֶר אֱלֹהִים, יְהִי אוֹר; וַיְהִי-אוֹר. ”
\n“And God said: ‘Let there be light.’ And there was light. ”<\/p>\n

The Zohar tells us that when God said “Let there be light” it was the expression of “אַהֲבַת חֶסֶד”, loving kindness.<\/p>\n

Jeremiah 31:2<\/a> “וְאַהֲבַת עוֹלָם אֲהַבְתִּיךְ, עַל-כֵּן מְשַׁכְתִּיךְ חָסֶד ”
\n“I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I drew Chessed<\/a> on you. ”<\/p>\n

The love of God for us should be returned with love and awe.<\/p>\n

Love is the right column<\/a> and is achieved by following actions of kindness, Chessed<\/a>, and has the consciousness of the main rule of the Torah, which is “ואהבת לרעך כמוך”, “Love your fellow man as yourself”.
\nAwe, יִרְאָה, is the left column<\/a> and is achieved by having the fear to lose the connection to the light and avoid all negativity.<\/p>\n

Most people have the ‘fear of God’ so that they won’t lose their money or God forbid their children or health. These kinds of awe and fear are not considered because their purpose are to receive rewards for their actions in this life.<\/p>\n
