74. אִישׁ חַרְבּוֹ עַל יְרֵכוֹ, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר (תהלים מה) חֲגוֹר חַרְבְּךָ עַל יָרֵךְ גִּבּוֹר. מִפַּחַד בַּלֵּילוֹת, הֲרֵי פֵּרְשׁוּהָ מִפַּחְדָּהּ שֶׁל גֵּיהִנֹּם וְכוּ’. אֲבָל מִפַּחַד בַּלֵּילוֹת, כְּלוֹמַר, אֶת כָּל זֶה מֵאֵיזֶה מָקוֹם לוֹקְחִים? מִפַּחַד, מֵאוֹתוֹ מָקוֹם שֶׁנִּקְרָא פַּחַד, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר (בראשית לא) וּפַחַד יִצְחָק הָיָה לִי. וַיִּשָּׁבַע יַעֲקֹב בְּפַחַד אָבִיו יִצְחָק. בַּלֵּילוֹת, בִּזְמַנִּים שֶׁהֵם מֻנּוּ לַעֲשׂוֹת דִּין.
\n75. וְלָמַדְנוּ, כָּתוּב (משלי לא) זָמְמָה שָׂדֶה וַתִּקָּחֵהוּ. זֶהוּ שֶׁכָּתוּב (איוב מ) וְכָל חַיַּת הַשָּׂדֶה יְשַׂחֲקוּ שָׁם. וְעַל זֶה כָּתוּב, (תהלים קד) זֶה הַיָּם גָּדוֹל וּרְחַב יָדַיִם וְגוֹ’ שָׁם אֳנִיּוֹת יְהַלֵּכוּן וְגוֹ’, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר (משלי לא) הָיְתָה כָּאֳנִיּוֹת סוֹחֵר מִמֶּרְחָק תָּבִיא לַחְמָהּ. מִמֶּרְחָק וַדַּאי. מֵרֹאשׁ הַמֹּחַ, וּמִמַּעְלָה שֶׁל הָרֹאשׁ, תָּבִיא לַחְמָהּ, עַל יְדֵי הַצַּדִּיק כְּשֶׁמִּזְדַּוְּגִים כְּאֶחָד, אֲזַי שִׂמְחָה בַּכֹּל. זֶהוּ שֶׁכָּתוּב לִוְיָתָן זֶה יָצַרְתָּ לְשַׂחֶק בּוֹ.
\n76. לָמַדְנוּ, אֶלֶף וַחֲמֵשׁ מֵאוֹת בַּעֲלֵי מָגִנִּים בַּעֲלֵי הַשִּׁלְטוֹן נֶאֱחָזִים מֵהַצַּד הַזֶּה, שֶׁהֵם גִּבּוֹרִים. בִּידֵי אוֹתוֹ שֶׁנִּקְרָא נַעַר אַרְבָּעָה מַפְתְּחוֹת גְדוֹלִים. תַּנִּינִים שֶׁהוֹלְכִים תַּחַת הַסְּפִינָה שֶׁל הַיָּם הַגָּדוֹל הַזֶּה לְאַרְבַּע זָוִיּוֹת. זֶה הוֹלֵךְ לְצַד זֶה, וְזֶה הוֹלֵךְ לְצַד זֶה, וְכָךְ כֻּלָּם. אַרְבָּעָה מַרְאוֹת שֶׁל פָּנִים נִרְאִים בָּהֶם, וּכְשֶׁנִּכְלָלִים בְּאֶחָד, כָּתוּב (יחזקאל א) וּדְמוּת פְּנֵיהֶם פְּנֵי אָדָם, פְּנֵיהֶם שֶׁל כֻּלָּם.<\/div>\n

Zohar Acharei Mot<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n“Every man has his sword on his thigh Because of fear in the night” (Songs 3:8<\/a>).
\nFear is the aspect of the Left. The night also represents the Left column<\/a>, Gevurah<\/a> that reveals judgment during the night period.
\nThe mighty warriors use the forces of the night to execute judgments.<\/p>\n

Genesis 31:42<\/a>
\n“לוּלֵי אֱלֹהֵי אָבִי אֱלֹהֵי אַבְרָהָם וּפַחַד יִצְחָק הָיָה לִי כִּי עַתָּה רֵיקָם שִׁלַּחְתָּנִי אֶת עָנְיִי וְאֶת יְגִיעַ כַּפַּי רָאָה אֱלֹהִים וַיּוֹכַח אָמֶשׁ.”
\n“Unless the God of my father, the God of Abraham and the Fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely now you would have sent me away empty-handed. God has seen my affliction and the labor of my hands, and rebuked you last night.” <\/p>\n

This verse comes from a conversation between Jacob and Laban, his father-in-law. They made a covenant upon their separation. Laban was dishonest and evil and Jacob needed a strong force to protect and maintain the covenant between them. Jacob used the judgment from the Left of his father to seal the ‘deal’. “And Jacob swore by the Fear of his father Isaac” (Genesis 31:53<\/a>). Using this method prevented Laban from cheating his son-in-law further in the future.<\/p>\n

\nJob 40:20<\/a>
\n“כִּי בוּל הָרִים יִשְׂאוּ לוֹ וְכָל חַיַּת הַשָּׂדֶה יְשַׂחֲקוּ שָׁם.”
\n“Surely the mountains yield food for him, And all the living creatures of the field play there.”
\nThe ‘field’ is the aspect of Malchut<\/a> and the living creatures are the aspect of Yessod<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Psalms 104:25<\/a>, 26
\n“זֶה הַיָּם גָּדוֹל וּרְחַב יָדָיִם שָׁם רֶמֶשׂ וְאֵין מִסְפָּר חַיּוֹת קְטַנּוֹת עִם גְּדֹלוֹת.”
\n“שָׁם אֳנִיּוֹת יְהַלֵּכוּן לִוְיָתָן זֶה יָצַרְתָּ לְשַׂחֶק בּוֹ.”
\n“This great and wide sea, In which are innumerable teeming things, Living things both small and great.”
\n“There the ships sail about; There is that Leviathan Which You have made to play there.”
\nThe Leviathan is an aspect of Yessod<\/a> and the ‘play’ represents unification.<\/p>\n

Proverbs 31:14<\/a>
\n“הָיְתָה כָּאֳנִיּוֹת סוֹחֵר מִמֶּרְחָק תָּבִיא לַחְמָהּ.”
\n“She is like the merchant ships, She brings her food from afar.”
\nThe Light of Chokmah<\/a> comes to Malchut<\/a> from ‘afar’ by the work of the Tzadik, who is Yessod<\/a>. When Malchut<\/a> and Yessod<\/a> join in unification, the light is revealed and brings joy to all. <\/p>\n

\nSometimes I need sixty mighty warriors to bring me energy from afar to my ship. That energy is required to move the ship and help me work in the ‘field’ and engage with a ‘play’ that would result in a good study.<\/p>\n
