82. כָּתוּב (שם כה) וְהַעֲבַרְתָּ שׁוֹפַר תְּרוּעָה בַּחֹדֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִעִי וְגוֹ’. לָמָּה שׁוֹפַר תְּרוּעָה? אֶלָּא שׁוֹפָר שֶׁמְּשַׁבֵּר שַׁלְשְׁלָאוֹת, שֶׁמְּשַׁבֵּר אֶת הַשִּׁלְטוֹן מִכָּל הָעֲבָדִים. וְצָרִיךְ לְהַרְאוֹת שׁוֹפָר שֶׁהוּא פָּשׁוּט, וְלֹא כָפוּף, לְהַרְאוֹת חֵרוּת לַכֹּל, שֶׁהֲרֵי הַיּוֹם גּוֹרֵם. וּבַכֹּל צָרִיךְ לְהַרְאוֹת מַעֲשֶׂה, וְעַל כֵּן שׁוֹפָר וְלֹא קֶרֶן, כְּדֵי לְהַרְאוֹת מִיהוּ הַמָּקוֹם שֶׁנִּקְרָא שׁוֹפָר.

Zohar Emor<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nLeviticus 25:9<\/a>
\n“וְהַעֲבַרְתָּ שׁוֹפַר תְּרוּעָה בַּחֹדֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִעִי בֶּעָשׂוֹר לַחֹדֶשׁ בְּיוֹם הַכִּפֻּרִים תַּעֲבִירוּ שׁוֹפָר בְּכָל אַרְצְכֶם.”
\n“Then you shall sound a loud trumpet (Shofar<\/a> Teruah<\/a>) on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) you shall make the trumpet to sound throughout all your land.”
\nShofar<\/a> Teruah<\/a> has the sound that breaks the chains of those imprisoned. It set them free from the shackles of slavery.
\nThis Shofar<\/a> should be straight, not bent to show that its force caused by the Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur. Yom Kippur is at the level of Binah<\/a> and so is the Shofar<\/a>. For that reason, a Shofar<\/a> is used and not a horn that is on the level of Malchut<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nIsraelites<\/a> are blessed for the knowledge of how to connect to the Holy King and awaken the forces from above. They can bring down upon them the holiness of their master.
\nDeuteronomy 33:29<\/a>
\n“אַשְׁרֶיךָ יִשְׂרָאֵל מִי כָמוֹךָ עַם נוֹשַׁע בַּיהוָה מָגֵן עֶזְרֶךָ וַאֲשֶׁר חֶרֶב גַּאֲוָתֶךָ וְיִכָּחֲשׁוּ אֹיְבֶיךָ לָךְ וְאַתָּה עַל בָּמוֹתֵימוֹ תִדְרֹךְ.”
\n“Happy are you, O Israel<\/a>! Who is like you, a people saved by YHVH<\/a>, The shield of your help, And the sword of your majesty! Your enemies shall submit to you, And you shall tread down their high places.”
\nAnd Deuteronomy 4:4<\/a>
\n“וְאַתֶּם הַדְּבֵקִים בַּיהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם חַיִּים כֻּלְּכֶם הַיּוֹם.”

Lesson;
\nThe Shofar<\/a> is a very important ‘tool’ for our connection to Binah<\/a>.
\nRabbi Shimon says (Zohar Shemini #31) that the ram that was sacrificed instead of Isaac on the Mount of Moriah, sweetened the judgments of the Left and brought completion to Malchut<\/a>. We will have the connection to this ram in the future.<\/p>\n

In the book Pirkei D’Rabbi Eliezer we read that the two horns from the ram of Isaac were made into Shofars. The left one used when the Torah revealed on Mount Sinai.
\nExodus 19:19<\/a>
\n“וַיְהִי קוֹל הַשּׁוֹפָר הוֹלֵךְ וְחָזֵק מְאֹד מֹשֶׁה יְדַבֵּר וְהָאֱלֹהִים יַעֲנֶנּוּ בְקוֹל.”
\n“And when the blast of the trumpet (Shofar<\/a>) sounded long and became louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by voice.”<\/p>\n

The right horn was larger and its Shofar<\/a> will be used at the time of the Final Redemption. <\/p>\n

Isaiah 27:13<\/a>
\n“וְהָיָה בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא יִתָּקַע בְּשׁוֹפָר גָּדוֹל וּבָאוּ הָאֹבְדִים בְּאֶרֶץ אַשּׁוּר וְהַנִּדָּחִים בְּאֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם וְהִשְׁתַּחֲווּ לַיהוָה בְּהַר הַקֹּדֶשׁ בִּירוּשָׁלָ‍ִם.”
\n“So it shall be in that day: The great trumpet will be blown; They will come, who are about to perish in the land of Assyria, And they who are outcasts in the land of Egypt, And shall worship YHVH<\/a> in the holy mount at Jerusalem<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

B”H we hear this Shofar<\/a> today, Amen.<\/p>\n
