104. וְאוֹתָם עֵרֶב רַב הֵם עֲשִׁירִים בְּשַׁלְוָה, בְּשִׂמְחָה, בְּלִי צַעַר, בְּלֹא יָגוֹן כְּלָל, גַּזְלָנִים, בַּעֲלֵי שֹׁחַד, שֶׁהֵם דַּיָּנִים רָאשֵׁי הָעָם. \n105. אִישׁ כִּי יַפְלִא לִנְדֹּר וְגוֹ’. רַבִּי אֶלְעָזָר פָּתַח, (ישעיה נ) מַדּוּעַ בָּאתִי וְאֵין אִישׁ וְגוֹ’. מַדּוּעַ בָּאתִי. כַּמָּה חֲבִיבִים יִשְׂרָאֵל לִפְנֵי הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא, שֶׁבְּכָל מָקוֹם בּוֹ הֵם שׁוֹרִים, הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא נִמְצָא בֵינֵיהֶם, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁלֹּא מַעֲבִיר אַהֲבָתוֹ מֵהֶם. מַה כָּתוּב? \nWe continue with the study of Zohar Naso because most of the world would read the Portion of Naso, next Shabbat. The next Torah reading in Israel<\/a> is Behaalotcha.<\/p>\n

\nGenesis 6:13<\/a>
\n“וַיֹּאמֶר אֱלֹהִים לְנֹחַ קֵץ כָּל בָּשָׂר בָּא לְפָנַי כִּי מָלְאָה הָאָרֶץ חָמָס מִפְּנֵיהֶם וְהִנְנִי מַשְׁחִיתָם אֶת הָאָרֶץ.”
\n“And God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth.”<\/p>\n

The Erev Rav brings destruction to the world. Moses describes them as rich, living in peace, joy, without sorrow, and no grief at all. They are robbers, use bribes, and rule over the people.
\nLamentation 1:5<\/a>
\n“הָיוּ צָרֶיהָ לְרֹאשׁ אֹיְבֶיהָ שָׁלוּ כִּי יְהוָה הוֹגָהּ עַל רֹב פְּשָׁעֶיהָ עוֹלָלֶיהָ הָלְכוּ שְׁבִי לִפְנֵי צָר.” “Her adversaries have become the master, Her enemies prosper; For YHVH<\/a> has afflicted her Because of the multitude of her transgressions. Her children have gone into captivity before the enemy.”
\nMoses put Elijah under oath to bring these words to God to express the difficult times that the Israelites<\/a> are going through, hoping that this will hasten the coming of Mashiach and the Final Redemption.<\/p>\n

\nThe Israelites<\/a> are loved by the Holy One Blessed be He. He is with them wherever they are.
\nExodus 25:8<\/a>
\n“וְעָשׂוּ לִי מִקְדָּשׁ וְשָׁכַנְתִּי בְּתוֹכָם.”
\n“And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.”<\/p>\n

The synagogues and the places where we congregate for prayers are considered sanctuaries, like the Holy Temple. The Shechina comes early to the ‘Temple’ to be with us and support the prayers that connect us to holiness.<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nThe Erev Rav draws from the pure system by using the weaknesses of people. They cause hardship to the Israelites<\/a> when they are in exile.
\nThere are five types of Erev Rav, Amalekim עמלקים, Giborim גִבּוֹרִים, Nephilim נפילים, Anakim ענקים, and Refaim רְפָאִים. The abbreviation of their names is נגע רע, meaning ‘bad plague’.
\nThe wicked and evil people spread their corrupted behavior all over the world. They control officials at top government positions. They wish to corrupt and enslave the entire world by deceiving the people and hide their agenda behind false and misleading information. They create separation and push us away from the faith<\/a> in God. This situation brings great darkness and chaos to the world.
\nTo weaken their power, we need to increase our studies and reveal more light to fight their darkness.

\nSynagogues are important for men to gather and pray with the support of the Shechina. To have a strong connection at home, it would be best if we assign or allocate a specific spot at home to read, study, and meditate. This regular spot at home and our dedication to the study would attract angels to support us.
\nMake it as special a place as possible but it can be as simple as choosing a chair by the dinner table that we always sit on and study. Keep the place clean and with open heart and consciousness, you can draw great spiritual support. Schedule routine times during the week would add value to the connection.
\nThe above should never limit you from carrying a book with you or have resources on your mobile device to study wherever and whenever you can. <\/p>\n
