244. דָּבָר אַחֵר עַל מִשְׁכְּנוֹת הָרֹעִים, חָסֵר ו’ – אוֹתָם רָעִים אֵלּוּ מַלְכֵי הָאֱמוֹרִי שֶׁלָּקְחוּ יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת אַרְצָם לִרְעוֹת מִקְנֵיהֶם, וּלְבֵית מִרְעֶה נָתַן יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶרֶץ זוֹ. אָז שָׁמַע בָּלָק שֶׁהָאָרֶץ שֶׁהָיְתָה חֲשׁוּבָה כָּל כָּךְ, עָשׂוּ יִשְׂרָאֵל קְרָב זֶה וְסָתְרוּ אוֹתָהּ, עַד שֶׁשָּׂמוּהָ בֵּית מִרְעֶה. אָז הִשְׁתַּדֵּל בְּכָל מַה שֶּׁהִשְׁתַּדֵּל, וְשִׁתֵּף אִתּוֹ אֶת בִּלְעָם.
\n245. וַיַּרְא בָּלָק. רַבִּי חִזְקִיָּה פָּתַח, (ישעיה נו) כֹּה אָמַר ה’ שִׁמְרוּ מִשְׁפָּט וַעֲשׂוּ צְדָקָה כִּי קְרוֹבָה יְשׁוּעָתִי וְגוֹ’. כַּמָּה חֲבִיבִים יִשְׂרָאֵל לִפְנֵי הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא, שֶׁאַף עַל גַּב שֶׁחָטְאוּ לְפָנָיו וְחוֹטְאִים לְפָנָיו בְּכָל פַּעַם וּפַעַם, הוּא עוֹשֶׂה לְיִשְׂרָאֵל זְדוֹנוֹת כִּשְׁגָגוֹת.<\/div>\n

Zohar Balak<\/strong>

\nThe Zohar brings another explanation to the words “shepherds’ tents “מִשְׁכְּנוֹת הָרֹעִים”. ‘Shepherd’ is written with the letter Vav ‘ו’ missing. It can be read as ‘רעים’ that means ‘bad’ and it is a reference to the Amorites kings. The Israelites<\/a> took their land for pasture to their herds.
\nBalak saw that the Israelites<\/a> fought for land to use for pasture so he wanted to block them and joined forces with Balaam.<\/p>\n

\nIsaiah 56:1<\/a> “כֹּה אָמַר יְהוָה שִׁמְרוּ מִשְׁפָּט וַעֲשׂוּ צְדָקָה כִּי קְרוֹבָה יְשׁוּעָתִי לָבוֹא וְצִדְקָתִי לְהִגָּלוֹת.” “Thus says YHVH<\/a>: “Keep justice, and do righteousnessTzedaka, connection to Yessod<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span>, For My salvation is about to come, And My righteousness to be revealed.”
\nRabbi Chizkiyah quotes this verse and says that the Holy One Blessed be He loves the children of Israel<\/a> and even when they sin wilfully, he accounts it for them as errors. <\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nTo have our sins treated as errorsMistakes, Low-level inequities<\/span><\/span><\/span> we make Teshuvah<\/a> and commit to not repeating the same sins\/mistakes. If we do Teshuva<\/a>, we create an opening to Light that cleanses our sins and have an easier correction process<\/a>. <\/p>\n
