180. כָּתוּב (שופטים ה) מִן שָׁמַיִם נִלְחָמוּ הַכּוֹכָבִים מִמְּסִלּוֹתָם נִלְחֲמוּ עִם סִיסְרָא וְגוֹ’. וְשָׁנִינוּ, בַּשָּׁעָה הַזּוֹ שֶׁהִתְנַדְּבוּ יִשְׂרָאֵל לְגַלּוֹת אֶת הָרֹשֶׁם הַקָּדוֹשׁ בִּבְשָׂרָם, אָז זוֹ (ויקרא כו) חֶרֶב נֹקֶמֶת נְקַם בְּרִית, כִּנְּסָה אֶת כָּל חֵילוֹתֶיהָ וְכָל כְּלֵי הַזַּיִן וְכָל אוֹתָם לוֹחֲמֵי הַקְּרָב לְהִלָּחֵם בִּקְרָב עִם (הַלְּבָנָה) סִיסְרָא, וְהַכּוֹכָבִים הָיוּ שׁוֹפְכִים אֵשׁ מִלְמַעְלָה. וְאָמַר רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן, כָּל כּוֹכָב וְכוֹכָב יֵשׁ לוֹ שֵׁם לְבַדּוֹ, וְכֻלָּם נִקְרָאִים בְּשֵׁמוֹת.

\n“מִן שָׁמַיִם נִלְחָמוּ הַכּוֹכָבִים מִמְּסִלּוֹתָם נִלְחֲמוּ עִם סִיסְרָא.”
\n“They fought from the heavens; The stars from their courses fought against Sisera.”
\nThe people of Israel<\/a> were ready to go to war and reveal the holy mark of circumcision<\/a> in their flesh.
\nLeviticus 26:25<\/a>
\n“וְהֵבֵאתִי עֲלֵיכֶם חֶרֶב נֹקֶמֶת נְקַם בְּרִית”
\n“And I will bring a sword against you that will execute the vengeance of the covenant;”<\/p>\n

Then the sword of the covenant, which is Malchut<\/a> gathers all her armies, weapons, and warriors to go to war with Sisera, and the stars are pouring fire from above. Rabbi Shimon says that every star has its own name as it says in (Psalms 147:4<\/a>) “מוֹנֶה מִסְפָּר, לַכּוֹכָבִים לְכֻלָּם, שֵׁמוֹת יִקְרָא” “He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name.”<\/p>\n

\nThe Holy One Blessed be He told the stars to prepare themselves to take revenge from Sisera the vengeance of his children. There are two acts of vengeance to take from them. One vengeance is for the six hundred chariots that he lent the minister of Egypt to fight in battle with Israel<\/a>. We read that in Exodus 14:7<\/a>
\n“וַיִּקַּח שֵׁשׁ מֵאוֹת רֶכֶב בָּחוּר וְכֹל רֶכֶב מִצְרָיִם וְשָׁלִשִׁם עַל כֻּלּוֹ.”
\n“Also, he took six hundred choice chariots and all the chariots of Egypt with captains over every one of them.”
\nThe second vengeance is for his children that were put in a state of distress until that moment. One vengeance with water and one with fire as we read (Judges 5:21<\/a>) “נַחַל קִישׁוֹן גְּרָפָם נַחַל קְדוּמִים נַחַל קִישׁוֹן תִּדְרְכִי נַפְשִׁי עֹז.” “The torrent of Kishon swept them away, That ancient torrent, the torrent of Kishon. O my soul, march on in strength!”
\nThe aspect of vengeance with fire is “The stars from their courses fought against Sisera”.<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nThe covenant is the aspect of Yessod<\/a> and circumcision<\/a> is the mark that connects us to the covenant with Abraham and God’s promise to protect his children.
\nWe read above that God takes vengeance for the six hundred chariots he gave Egypt. We learn from this story that every force in this world is given to us from God according to our desire.
\nAll the gifts that we have in this world are given to us temporarily until we die. It is our responsibility to use the gifts we receive in a positive way, otherwise, we get ‘corrected’ sooner or later. <\/p>\n
