\n228. מִן לְבָנוֹן – מִשָּׁם יוֹצְאִים לְבִינָה. וְנִמְשָׁךְ וּמִתְפַּשֵּׁט לְכָל הַקְּצָווֹת, עַד שֶׁנִּמְשָׁכִים אֵלּוּ הַמְּקוֹרוֹת וְיוֹרְדִים לְהִתְכַּנֵּס לְמָקוֹם שֶׁנִּקְרָא הַיָּם הַגָּדוֹל, שֶׁכָּתוּב (קהלת א) כָּל הַנְּחָלִים הֹלְכִים אֶל הַיָּם וְגוֹ’. וְכָתוּב (ישעיה נא) הַבִּיטוּ אֶל צוּר חֻצַּבְתֶּם וְגוֹ’. וְאַחַר כָּךְ כָּתוּב, (שיר השירים ד) גַּן נָעוּל אֲחֹתִי כַלָּה וְגוֹ’. וּמִכָּאן יָצְאוּ תוֹלָדוֹת לְכֻלָּם, שֶׁכָּתוּב בְּהִבָּרְאָם, בְּה’ בְּרָאָם מַמָּשׁ, בְּאַבְרָהָם. אָמַר רַבִּי יִצְחָק, וַאֲפִלּוּ בְּיַעֲקֹב מַמָּשׁ. וְהַכֹּל דָּבָר אֶחָד.

Zohar Ha’azinu<\/strong>

\n“מַעְיַן גַּנִּים בְּאֵר מַיִם חַיִּים וְנֹזְלִים מִן לְבָנוֹן.”
\n“A fountain of gardens, A well of living waters, And streams from Lebanon.”
\n‘A fountain of gardens’ is the aspect of heavens, Zeir Anpin<\/a> that is called ‘river’ and ‘A well of living waters’.
\nGenesis 26:25<\/a> “וַיִּכְרוּ שָׁם עַבְדֵי יִצְחָק בְּאֵר” “and his servants dug another well”
\n‘And streams from Lebanon’
\nThe ‘water’ from Chokmah<\/a> flow to the ‘head’ of the King that is the upper three sefirot of Zeir Anpin<\/a> as we read in Psalms 108:5<\/a>
\n“כִּי גָדוֹל מֵעַל שָׁמַיִם חַסְדֶּךָ וְעַד שְׁחָקִים אֲמִתֶּךָ.”
\n“Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, And Your glory above all the earth;”<\/p>\n

\n‘From Lebanon’ is ‘עדן’ ‘Eden’ that is the supernal<\/a> Chokmah<\/a>. The root for the word ‘לבנון’ ‘Lebanon’ is ‘לבן’ that means ‘white’. It represents the ‘whiteness’ of Chokmah<\/a> that illuminates in Chessed<\/a> that is white.<\/p>\n

Chokmah<\/a> delivers Light to Malchut<\/a> through Binah<\/a>, which is the river that comes out of Eden (Genesis 2:10<\/a>). This river spreads to four directions that are Chessed<\/a>, Gevurah<\/a>, Tiferet<\/a>, and Machut. They are gathered in the great sea, which is Malchut<\/a>.
\nEcclesiastes 1:7<\/a>
\n“כָּל הַנְּחָלִים הֹלְכִים אֶל הַיָּם וְהַיָּם אֵינֶנּוּ מָלֵא אֶל מְקוֹם שֶׁהַנְּחָלִים הֹלְכִים שָׁם הֵם שָׁבִים לָלָכֶת.”
\n“All the rivers run into the sea, Yet the sea is not full; To the place from which the rivers come, There they return again.”<\/p>\n

\nRabbi Yitzchak says that when they arrive at Rabbi Shimon, they can reveal their studies without concealment under names and symbols. Rabbi Shimon is not like others, he is like Moses when compared to other prophets.
\nWhile they continued on their way, Rabbi Chiya quotes Isaiah 49:15<\/a>
\n“הֲתִשְׁכַּח אִשָּׁה עוּלָהּ מֵרַחֵם בֶּן בִּטְנָהּ גַּם אֵלֶּה תִשְׁכַּחְנָה וְאָנֹכִי לֹא אֶשְׁכָּחֵךְ.”
\n“Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.”
\nHe said that they need the support of their friends to explain this verse.<\/p>\n
