46. כְּמוֹ זֶה מַחֲלֹקֶת קֹרַח בְּאַהֲרֹן, שְׂמֹאל בְּיָמִין. הִסְתַּכֵּל מֹשֶׁה בְּמַעֲשֵׂה בְרֵאשִׁית. אָמַר לִי, רָאוּי לְהַפְרִיד מַחֲלֹקֶת בֵּין יָמִין וּשְׂמֹאל. הִשְׁתַּדֵּל לְהַסְכִּים בֵּינֵיהֶם. וְלֹא רָצָה הַשְּׂמֹאל, וְהִתְחַזֵּק קֹרַח בְּחָזְקוֹ.
\n47. אָמַר, וַדַּאי גֵּיהִנֹּם בַּכֹּחַ שֶׁל הַמַּחֲלֹקֶת שְׂמֹאל צָרִיךְ לְהִתְדַּבֵּק [לְמַעְלָה וּלְהִכָּלֵל בַּיָּמִין] הוּא לֹא רָצָה לְהִדָּבֵק לְמַעְלָה וּלְהִכָּלֵל בַּיָּמִין, וַדַּאי יֵרֵד לְמַטָּה בְּכֹחַ הָרֹגֶז שֶׁלּוֹ.
\n48. וְעַל זֶה לֹא רָצָה קֹרַח לְהַסְכִּים מַחֲלֹקֶת זוֹ בְּיַד מֹשֶׁה, בִּגְלַל שֶׁלֹּא הָיָה לְשֵׁם שָׁמַיִם, וְלֹא חָשַׁשׁ לַכָּבוֹד שֶׁלְּמַעְלָה וְהִכְחִישׁ מַעֲשֵׂה בְרֵאשִׁית. כֵּיוָן שֶׁרָאָה מֹשֶׁה שֶׁהִכְחִישׁ מַעֲשֵׂה בְרֵאשִׁית וְנִדְחָה הוּא הַחוּצָה, אָז וַיִּחַר לְמֹשֶׁה מְאֹד.

Zohar Beresheet<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nThe dispute between Korah and Aaron (Numbers 16:1<\/a>-3) created a division between the Left and the Right. Korah was a Levite with the aspect Left, Gevura<\/a>. He challenged the priesthood of Aaron that is the aspect of Right, and Chessed<\/a>.
\nMoses looked at the act of Creation that we explained previously and believed that he could remove the division between Korah and Aaron that were Left and Right. He himself was the Center column<\/a> of the souls, Tiferet<\/a>, so he tried to remove the division between the Right and the Left by accepting both Right and Left. Korah refused and became stronger than Aaron.<\/p>\n

\nMoses knew that Korah’s anger and refusal to connect to the Right would increase the strength of the Left, and that would cause Korah to fall down to Gehinnom<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nKorah didn’t want Moses’s help because his dispute was for selfish reasons, and not for the sake of heavens that is the purpose of unifying Zeir Anpin<\/a> and Malchut<\/a>. Korah went against the spiritual laws of Creation and by that dishonored the Shechina.
\nWhen Moses saw that, he got angry.
\nNumbers 16:15<\/a>
\n“וַיִּחַר לְמֹשֶׁה מְאֹד וַיֹּאמֶר אֶל יְהוָה אַל תֵּפֶן אֶל מִנְחָתָם לֹא חֲמוֹר אֶחָד מֵהֶם נָשָׂאתִי וְלֹא הֲרֵעֹתִי אֶת אַחַד מֵהֶם.”
\n“Then Moses was very angry, and said to YHVH<\/a>, “Do not respect their offering. I have not taken one donkey from them, nor have I hurt one of them.”<\/p>\n

\nMoses was angry because Korah and his people were against the act of Creation and caused a flaw in the connection to Zeir Anpin<\/a>. For that reason, Korah and his people went down to Gehinnom<\/a>.
\nNumbers 16:32<\/a>
\n“וַתִּפְתַּח הָאָרֶץ אֶת-פִּיהָ, וַתִּבְלַע אֹתָם וְאֶת-בָּתֵּיהֶם, וְאֵת כָּל-הָאָדָם אֲשֶׁר לְקֹרַח, וְאֵת כָּל-הָרְכוּשׁ”
\n“and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, with their households and all the men with Korah, with all their goods.”<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nThe desire for the self alone is a destructive force because as it gets stronger it could draw us down with judgments into the world of Gehinnom<\/a> that is ‘hell’.
\nWe should always connect our personal desires and wishes with altruistic reasons to connect with the Right and draw Chassadim<\/a> to create a positive vessel to receive the upper Light. Even if we desire good health and sustenance we want to include others when we express our desires. It would connect us to the Center Column<\/a>, Zeir Anpin<\/a>, the force of YHVH<\/a>.<\/p>\n
