53. וְזֶה סוֹד יְהִי רָקִיעַ בְּתוֹךְ הַמָּיִם וִיהִי מַבְדִּיל. זוֹ מַחֲלֹקֶת רִאשׁוֹנָה, הִתְעוֹרְרוּת שֶׁל רֹגֶז וְכֹחַ רָצָה לְהַפְרִיד, וְהִתְעוֹרֵר גֵּיהִנֹּם עַד שֶׁהָרֹגֶז וְהַכֹּחַ הִצְטַנְּנוּ. וְאָז וַיַּעַשׂ אֱלֹהִים אֶת הָרָקִיעַ וְגוֹ’, הִתְעוֹרְרָה מַחֲלֹקֶת שֶׁל אַהֲבָה וַחֲבִיבוּת וְקִיּוּם הָעוֹלָם, וּבְסוֹד זֶה הַמַּחֲלֹקֶת שֶׁל שַׁמַּאי וְהִלֵּל, שֶׁתּוֹרָה שֶׁבְּעַל פֶּה נִכְנְסָה בְּאַהֲבָה לַתּוֹרָה שֶׁבִּכְתָב וְהָיוּ בְקִיּוּם שָׁלֵם.
\n54. הַבְדָּלָה הִיא וַדַּאי בִּשְׂמֹאל. כָּתוּב כָּאן הַבְדָּלָה – וִיהִי מַבְדִּיל, וְכָתוּב וַיַּבְדֵּל, וְכָתוּב שָׁם (שם טז) הַמְעַט מִכֶּם כִּי הִבְדִּיל וְגוֹ’, וְכָתוּב (דברים ו) בָּעֵת הַהִיא הִבְדִּיל ה’ אֶת שֵׁבֶט הַלֵּוִי. שֶׁהֲרֵי וַדַּאי אֵין הַבְדָּלָה אֶלָּא בַּשֵּׁנִי בִּמְקוֹם שְׂמֹאל.
\n55. וְאִם תֹּאמַר הַבְדָּלָה הִיא בַּשֵּׁנִי וַדַּאי, לָמָּה הַבְדָּלָה בְּלֵוִי שֶׁהוּא שְׁלִישִׁי? הַבְדָּלָה צָרִיךְ בְּשִׁמְעוֹן שֶׁהוּא שֵׁנִי! אֶלָּא, אַף עַל גַּב שֶׁלֵּוִי הוּא שְׁלִישִׁי, לְדַעַת יַעֲקֹב הָיָה שֵׁנִי, וּלְעוֹלָם בַּשֵּׁנִי הָיָה, וְהַכֹּל בְּדֶרֶךְ יָשָׁר בְּדֶרֶךְ שָׁלֵם כָּרָאוּי.<\/div>\n

Zohar Beresheet<\/strong><\/p>\n

Genesis 1:6<\/a>
\n“וַיֹּאמֶר אֱלֹהִים יְהִי רָקִיעַ בְּתוֹךְ הַמָּיִם וִיהִי מַבְדִּיל בֵּין מַיִם לָמָיִם.”
\n“And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.”

\nThe first separation between the upper and lower waters awakened anger and the force of separation. Gehinnom<\/a> was activated until the anger and the separation force cooled down. Then love awakened “And God made the firmament” (Genesis 1:7<\/a>) like the secret of the dispute between Shamai and Hillel. Also, the Oral Torah<\/a> is the aspect of female and connection with the written Torah<\/a> that is Zeir Anpin<\/a> brings love that represents complete existence. <\/p>\n

\nSeparation occurs only in the second with an aspect of the Left as it was on the second day of Creation.
\nDeuteronomy 10:8<\/a>
\n“בָּעֵת הַהִוא הִבְדִּיל יְהוָה אֶת שֵׁבֶט הַלֵּוִי לָשֵׂאת אֶת אֲרוֹן בְּרִית יְהוָה לַעֲמֹד לִפְנֵי יְהוָה לְשָׁרְתוֹ וּלְבָרֵךְ בִּשְׁמוֹ עַד הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה.”
\n“At that time YHVH<\/a> separated the tribe of Levi to bear the ark of the covenant of YHVH<\/a>, to stand before YHVH<\/a> to minister to Him and to bless in His name, to this day.”<\/p>\n

\nThe first three children of Jacob were Reuven, Shimon, and Levi. If Levi was the third child then why the Torah relates the aspect of separation to him and not in Shimon. The Zohar explains that for Jacob, Levi was the second child. Jacob made a deal with Laban to marry Rachel but Laban gave him Leah instead. When Jacob first unified with his wife, he assumed it was Rachel. Reuben, who was the firstborn from Leah, was spiritually connected to Rachel. Shimon and Levi were the next and Levi were considered the second and Left.<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nThe Levites, Left, were chosen to work with the priests<\/a>, Right, in the Holy Temple. They make the proper unification of Right and Left and draw peace and Love into the Holy Temple and the world.<\/p>\n
