119. וּמִי יוֹכִיחַ? פָּרָשָׁה זוֹ תּוֹכִיחַ! שֶׁכֵּיוָן שֶׁאָמַר וְהִנֵּה שְׁלֹשָׁה אֲנָשִׁים נִצָּבִים עָלָיו, מַה זֶּה עָלָיו? לְעַיֵּן בְּדִינוֹ. כֵּיוָן שֶׁרוֹאָה נִשְׁמַת הַצַּדִּיק כָּךְ, מַה כָּתוּב? וַיְמַהֵר אַבְרָהָם הָאֹהֱלָה וגו’. מַה זֶּה הָאֹהֱלָה? בֵּית הַמִּדְרָשׁ. וּמַהוּ אוֹמֵר? מַהֲרִי שְׁלֹשׁ סְאִים, עִנְיַן הַקָּרְבָּנוֹת, וְהַנְּשָׁמָה מִתְכַּוֶּנֶת בָּהֶם. זֶהוּ שֶׁכָּתוּב וְאֶל הַבָּקָר רָץ אַבְרָהָם. וְאָז נוֹחַ לָהֶם וְלֹא יְכוֹלִים לְהָרַע לוֹ.

\n“וַיִּשָּׂא עֵינָיו וַיַּרְא וְהִנֵּה שְׁלֹשָׁה אֲנָשִׁים נִצָּבִים עָלָיו וַיַּרְא וַיָּרָץ לִקְרָאתָם מִפֶּתַח הָאֹהֶל וַיִּשְׁתַּחוּ אָרְצָה.”
\n“So he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing above him; and when he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them, and bowed himself to the ground,”
\nWhen Abraham saw “three men were standing above him”, his soul understood that the angels came to look for any judgment connected to Abraham.
\nGenesis 18:6<\/a>
\n“וַיְמַהֵר אַבְרָהָם הָאֹהֱלָה אֶל שָׂרָה וַיֹּאמֶר מַהֲרִי שְׁלֹשׁ סְאִים קֶמַח סֹלֶת לוּשִׁי וַעֲשִׂי עֻגוֹת.”
\n“So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah and said, “Quickly, make ready three measures of fine meal; knead it and make cakes.”
\nAbraham hurried into the tent, that is the aspect of a place of study. He tells Sarah to prepare offerings, and his soul considers as sacrificial offerings as it says;
\nGenesis 18:7<\/a>
\n“וְאֶל הַבָּקָר רָץ אַבְרָהָם וַיִּקַּח בֶּן בָּקָר רַךְ וָטוֹב וַיִּתֵּן אֶל הַנַּעַר וַיְמַהֵר לַעֲשׂוֹת אֹתוֹ.”
\n“And Abraham ran to the herd, took a tender and good calf, gave it to a young man, and he hastened to prepare it.”<\/p>\n

By doing what he did, Abraham made sure that any judgment that he may had was removed and he is protected.<\/p>\n

\n“וַיֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה אֶל אַהֲרֹן קַח אֶת הַמַּחְתָּה וְתֶן עָלֶיהָ אֵשׁ מֵעַל הַמִּזְבֵּחַ וְשִׂים קְטֹרֶת וְהוֹלֵךְ מְהֵרָה אֶל הָעֵדָה וְכַפֵּר עֲלֵיהֶם כִּי יָצָא הַקֶּצֶף מִלִּפְנֵי יְהוָה הֵחֵל הַנָּגֶף.”
\n“וַיִּקַּח אַהֲרֹן כַּאֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר מֹשֶׁה וַיָּרָץ אֶל תּוֹך הַקָּהָל וְהִנֵּה הֵחֵל הַנֶּגֶף בָּעָם וַיִּתֵּן אֶת הַקְּטֹרֶת וַיְכַפֵּר עַל הָעָם.”
\n“And Moses said to Aaron: ‘Take your fire-pan, and put on it fire from off the altar, and lay incense on it, and carry it quickly unto the congregation, and make atonement for them; for there is wrath gone out from YHVH<\/a> the plague is begun”
\n“And Aaron took as Moses spoke, and ran into the midst of the assembly; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people; and he put on the incense, and made atonement for the people.”<\/p>\n

The plague stopped when Aaron ran with the incense into the midst of the people. The incense offering was a connection that brought the Light and stopped the judgment that the nation brought about themselves. It was similar to Abraham that ran into the tent to arrange for offerings.<\/p>\n

\nRabbi Pinchas<\/a> said that once when he was walking on the way, he met Elijah the Prophet. He asked him to share something that would benefit the people. Elijah told him that the Holy One Blessed be He made a covenant with the angels that are appointed to hold accounts of the peoples’ sins. They were told that when they come to tell about the people and if the people mention the sacrifices written in the Torah, they should speak only positive about them.<\/p>\n

Lesson;<\/p>\n

At the beginning of the morning prayer, we read about the sacrifices made in the Holy Temple. It helps us cleanse and protect ourselves. The first part of the prayer is related to the world of Asiyah (World of Action). Basically, everything we read and study from the Torah connects us to the original Light revealed.<\/p>\n

The best way to cleanse ourselves from sins is to immediately hurry and make offerings. Tzedaka, Study, and anything positive to wash away the negative we created.<\/p>\n
