Zohar Vayetze<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nAs long as the wise sages engaged with the study of Torah in happiness, Sam-el<\/a>, the minister of the other-side<\/a>, cannot harm them.
\nGenesis 27:22<\/a>
\n“וַיִּגַּשׁ יַעֲקֹב אֶל יִצְחָק אָבִיו וַיְמֻשֵּׁהוּ וַיֹּאמֶר הַקֹּל קוֹל יַעֲקֹב וְהַיָּדַיִם יְדֵי עֵשָׂו.”
\n“So Jacob went near to Isaac his father, and he felt him and said, “The voice is Jacob’s voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau.”
\nThe voice of Jacob is the aspect of the supernal<\/a> Torah, Zeir Anpin<\/a> because its voice never stops. For that reason, the Torah should be studied continuously.
\nRabbi Chiyah woke up from his nap and they went to see the sages to share the warning from Elijah.<\/p>\n

\nRabbi Yossi said that the words of Elijah are known to the sages, meaning that those who turn to the Left, destroy the female, Malchut<\/a>, as it is written (Psalms 127:1<\/a>) “שִׁיר הַמַּעֲלוֹת לִשְׁלֹמֹה אִם יְהוָה לֹא יִבְנֶה בַיִת שָׁוְא עָמְלוּ בוֹנָיו בּוֹ אִם יְהוָה לֹא יִשְׁמָר עִיר שָׁוְא שָׁקַד שׁוֹמֵר.”
\n“A Song of Ascents. Of Solomon. Unless YHVH<\/a> builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless YHVH<\/a> guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.”
\nThose who study the Torah connect to the Center column<\/a>, Zeir Anpin<\/a> that protects the Holy City that is Malchut<\/a>. The ‘watchman’ is the strong people of the world that take strength from the Left that is judgment, but in the end, they are destined to see the destruction of the city, as previously explained.<\/p>\n

\nPsalms 3:1<\/a>
\n“מִזְמוֹר לְדָוִד בְּבָרְחוֹ מִפְּנֵי אַבְשָׁלוֹם בְּנוֹ.”
\n“A Psalm of David when he fled from Absalom his son”
\nAbshalom rebelled against his father, King David, and here he sings praise to God for his support. We may expect the King to lament on his son’s actions because a man is more resentful for a little evil from his relative than a lot of evil from others. But in this case, King David thought that the Holy One Blessed be He removed his sins from the next world and instead gave him a correction in this world. That made him happy. <\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nAt the end of the story of Creation it says (Genesis 2:3<\/a>) “אֲשֶׁר-בָּרָא אֱלֹהִים לַעֲשׂוֹת” “that God created (for us) to make” (Most translations distort the meaning of the verse so it will make sense to the reader. But we know that every letter and every word in the Torah has a place and significant meaning that is lost in translations).
\nThis world was created for us to do work for six thousand years and at the seventh, we are rewarded with immortality. Most people are on the Left with a desire for the self alone, expecting God to be their personal butler and fulfill all their desires. They avoid the work to purify their souls and instead they focus on life in this world, walking from one little pleasure to the next until they pass away with a soul that has many layers of desires for the self alone and many of their desires are still in the ‘Bucket List’.
\nLife is full of challenges, and we need to go through them until we pass away. If the soul is pure it will be registered in the Book of Life and merit the Resurrection.
\nKing David teaches us to accept the pain in this temporary life because the eternal life of the world to come has far greater rewards than any temporary pleasure in this world. We may not always know why we experience difficulties and pain, but we should always know that there is a good reason for it. At the end of the day, going through our challenges help our souls get purer for the next world. When we accept a temporary pain, we gain a deep cleansing of the soul.
\nThe best advice that I can give anyone that goes through difficult times is to keep the faith<\/a> with certainty that everything is for the reason of purification and reducing spiritual ‘debts’. With that certainty think about what is the next best step that would lead you toward the Light. Smaller steps can be stronger and significant more than trying to leap over the challenge. <\/p>\n
