\n‘all her paths are peaceful’ are the paths that come out from Father, Chokmah<\/a>, and Mother<\/a>, Binah<\/a>, These paths lead to Yessod<\/a> which is called ‘peace’ because Yessod<\/a> represents the unification of the Right and the Left.
\nJoseph<\/a> represents Yessod<\/a> and peace and was able to be a king in Egypt and the governor of the land. <\/p>\n

\nGenesis 42:1<\/a>
\n“וַיַּרְא יַעֲקֹב כִּי יֶשׁ שֶׁבֶר בְּמִצְרָיִם וַיֹּאמֶר יַעֲקֹב לְבָנָיו לָמָּה תִּתְרָאוּ.”
\n“Now Jacob saw that there was grain in Egypt, and Jacob said to his sons, “Why are you staring at one another?”
\nJacob was able to buy food from Egypt, meaning that he could draw light from the Chokmah<\/a> of Israel Sava and Tevunah<\/a>. His sons were on a lower level and he asked them to show themselves as poor and hungry because they need to express the desire to receive the Light.<\/p>\n

\nRabbi Chizkiya says that the secret revealed here is that as long as there is sorrow in the world, a man should refrain from being seen in the marketplace so he will not be caught for his sins. The adversaries that he created with his sins may see him, reveal his sins, and accuse him to punish him.<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nEven though the shechinah left Jacob after he learned that Joseph<\/a> died, he was still connected higher spiritually, but his sons were not. He told them that when they go down to Egypt to buy food, they should lower themselves to avoid getting exposed by judgments that spread in the world.
\nWhen one of the family passes away for whatever reason, old age, disease, or accident, it is the aspect of judgment. For that reason, we are told to tear up our shirts, sit on the ground or low, and avoid any aspect of pleasure, even washing our body is forbidden for seven days. It is done so to avoid connecting to the judgment that happened in the family and maybe still roam around. The guidelines of sitting Shiva (Seven) for the dead are mostly for our protection than the aspect of respecting the deceased. <\/p>\n

The Zohar teaches us that when there is a lack of light, we see ‘sorrow’ in the world. That is an aspect of Judgment and we should avoid getting into such situations.
\nThe world is most probably in a state of the final war between good and evil. It is relatively quiet but it can erupt any moment if Hashem<\/a> doesn’t bestow his mercy upon us. <\/p>\n

The Torah says that the famine in Egypt was supposed to be for seven years, but was stopped in the second year when Jacob arrived there. From that, we learn that great light stops judgment. We should keep our focus on increasing the Light around ourselves with continuous studies. Keep the Zohar next to you at all times. We have the Tzadikim and Unity Zohar mobile apps to give us great connections wherever we go. We open the app and read Zohar’s paragraphs whenever we have time or when we feel in a place of judgment.
\nDO NOT focus on the politics that is full of judgments, especially in the US, where the main battle between Good and Evil is in progress. Hashem<\/a> knows the outcome of this battle and war and all we need is to bring the Light to support the forces of good!
\nDuring the Hanukkah days, we can tap into the highest light available for us and draw from it great protection. DO NOT miss opportunities to connect. Even if you didn’t light the menorah, study about it and it will be almost as if you made the actual connection.<\/p>\n
