95. מִשּׁוּם כָּךְ בָּכָה עַל זֶה יוֹסֵף, וְאַחַר שֶׁבָּכָה עַל זֶה, בָּכָה עַל הַשְּׁבָטִים שֶׁיֻּגְלוּ. כְּשֶׁנֶּחֱרַב בֵּית הַמִּקְדָּשׁ, כָּל הַשְּׁבָטִים גָּלוּ מִיָּד וְהִתְפַּזְּרוּ בֵּין הָעַמִּים. זֶהוּ שֶׁכָּתוּב וַיְנַשֵּׁק לְכָל אֶחָיו וַיֵּבְךְּ עֲלֵהֶם. עֲלֵהֶם וַדַּאי.

\n“Moreover he kissed all his brothers and wept over them, and after that, his brothers talked with him.”<\/p>\n

Joseph<\/a> cried for the future destruction of the two Holy Temples, then he cried for the ten tribes that went to exile and spread among the nations of the world. <\/p>\n

\nAfter Joseph<\/a> kissed his brothers and cried, the brothers talked to him but didn’t cry as the verse says ‘and after that, his brothers talked with him’.
\nJoseph<\/a> cried because this connection with his brothers brought upon him the Holy Spirit and he saw the future. The brothers didn’t see what Joseph<\/a> saw because they didn’t have the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nThe tribes represent the connection between the sefirot of the Tree of Life<\/a>. Joseph<\/a> is Yessod<\/a> that connects all the levels above Malchut<\/a>. When Joseph<\/a> ‘kissed all his brothers’, he made a complete connection to the Tree of Life<\/a> and the Holy Spirit bestowed upon him and he could see the future. His brothers were on a high spiritual level but not at the position or ability of Joseph<\/a>.
\nWhen there is joy or a positive situation and the soul cries with tears in the eyes it means that the person crying has a connection to Chokmah<\/a>.
\nCrying caused by a negative situation is a high level on the other-side<\/a>, judgment.
\nA person that sees himself crying in a dream may expect joy and good news.<\/p>\n
