100. כִּי יְדַבֵּר אֲלֵכֶם פַּרְעֹה לֵאמֹר. רַבִּי יְהוּדָה פָּתַח וְאָמַר, (תהלים קיט) מָה אָהַבְתִּי תוֹרָתֶךָ כָּל הַיּוֹם הִיא שִׂיחָתִי. וְכָתוּב חֲצוֹת לַיְלָה אָקוּם לְהוֹדוֹת לָךְ עַל מִשְׁפְּטֵי צִדְקֶךָ. בֹּא רְאֵה, דָּוִד הוּא מֶלֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵל, וְהִצְטָרֵךְ לָדוּן אֶת הָעָם, לְהַנְהִיג אֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל כְּרוֹעֶה הַמַּנְהִיג צֹאנוֹ שֶׁלֹּא יִסְטוּ מִדֶּרֶךְ הָאֱמֶת. הֲרֵי בַּלַּיְלָה כָּתוּב חֲצוֹת לַיְלָה אָקוּם לְהוֹדוֹת לָךְ עַל מִשְׁפְּטֵי צִדְקֶךָ, וְהוּא מִתְעַסֵּק בַּתּוֹרָה וּבַתִּשְׁבָּחוֹת שֶׁל הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא עַד שֶׁמַּגִּיעַ הַבֹּקֶר.
\n101. וְהוּא מְעוֹרֵר אֶת הַבֹּקֶר, כְּמוֹ שֶׁכָּתוּב (שם נז) עוּרָה כְבוֹדִי עוּרָה הַנֵּבֶל וְכִנּוֹר אָעִירָה שָּׁחַר. כְּשֶׁבָּא הַיּוֹם, אָמַר פָּסוּק זֶה, מָה אָהַבְתִּי תוֹרָתֶךָ כָּל הַיּוֹם הִיא שִׂיחָתִי. מַה זֶּה כָּל הַיּוֹם הִיא שִׂיחָתִי? אֶלָּא מִכָּאן לָמַדְנוּ, שֶׁכָּל מִי שֶׁמִּשְׁתַּדֵּל בַּתּוֹרָה לְהַשְׁלִים הַדִּין עַל בֻּרְיוֹ, כְּאִלּוּ קִיֵּם אֶת הַתּוֹרָה כֻּלָּהּ. מִשּׁוּם כָּךְ כָּל הַיּוֹם הִיא שִׂיחָתִי.
\n102. בֹּא רְאֵה, בַּיּוֹם הִתְעַסֵּק בַּתּוֹרָה לְהַשְׁלִים הַדִּינִים, וּבַלַּיְלָה הִתְעַסֵּק בְּשִׁירוֹת וְתִשְׁבָּחוֹת עַד שֶׁבָּא הַיּוֹם. מָה הַטַּעַם? כָּל הַיּוֹם הִתְעַסֵּק לְהַשְׁלִים הַדִּינִים כְּדֵי לְהַכְלִיל שְׂמֹאל בַּיָּמִין, בַּלַּיְלָה, כְּדֵי לְהַכְלִיל דַּרְגַּת הַלַּיְלָה בַּיּוֹם.<\/div>\n

Zohar Vaera<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nPsalms 119:62<\/a>
\n“חֲצוֹת לַיְלָה אָקוּם לְהוֹדוֹת לָךְ עַל מִשְׁפְּטֵי צִדְקֶךָ.”
\n“At midnight I will rise to give thanks to You, Because of Your righteous judgments.”
\nRabbi Yehuda quotes this verse and explains; David was the King of Israel<\/a>, and he needed to judge the people, and lead the nation like a shepherd leads his flock so they won’t leave the path of truth.
\nKing David was waking up at midnight and occupied himself with Torah and praised to the Holy One Blessed be He, until morning. <\/p>\n

\nKing David awakened the dawn as it is written;
\nPsalms 57:9<\/a>
\n“עוּרָה כְבוֹדִי עוּרָה הַנֵּבֶל וְכִנּוֹר אָעִירָה שָּׁחַר.”
\n“Awake, my glory! Awake, lute, and harp! I will awaken the dawn.”
\nWhen the morning comes he said this verse;
\nPsalms 119:97<\/a>
\n“מָה אָהַבְתִּי תוֹרָתֶךָ כָּל הַיּוֹם הִיא שִׂיחָתִי.”
\n“Oh, how I love Your law! (Torah) It is my meditation all the day.”
\nWe learn from this that whoever studies the Torah throughout the night, is like he fulfilled the entire Torah. That is why it says ‘ It is my meditation all the day’.<\/p>\n

\nThe night is under the control of the Left that is judgment. The day time is the aspect of the Right and Chassadim<\/a>. King David was praising the Holy One Blessed be He at night until daybreak when he studied to bring rest to the judgments. His purpose was to connect night and day and to include the Left with the Right to reveal Chassadim<\/a>. <\/p>\n
