105. מַה זֶּה יַעַמְדוּ יַחְדָּו? הֲיַעֲלֶה עַל לִבְּךָ שֶׁשָּׁמַיִם וָאָרֶץ? לֹא כָּךְ (מֵהַשָּׁמַיִם קוֹרֵא אֲנִי אֲלֵיהֶם. וְהָאָרֶץ לֹא כָּךְ) אֶלָּא יָמִין וּשְׂמֹאל שֶׁהֵם אֵ”ת וְאֵ”ת. וְהֵיאַךְ יַעַמְדוּ יַחְדָּו? בָּזֹאת הַהִיא שֶׁשּׁוֹלֶטֶת בַּחֲצוֹת הַלַּיְלָה שֶׁכְּלוּלָה אֵ”ת בְּזֹאת.

Zohar Bo<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nHe asks what is the meaning of ‘They stand up together’ (#104 above), and answers that the heavens and the earth that are Zeir Anpin<\/a> and Nukva<\/a>, have to stand together. The RIght and the Left are separate but they stand together in ‘זאת’ ‘This’, which is Malchut<\/a>’ that have the reign at midnight. At that time Malchut<\/a> is included with Chessed<\/a> and they stand together.<\/p>\n

\nEcclesiastes 3:11<\/a>
\n“אֶת הַכֹּל עָשָׂה יָפֶה בְעִתּוֹ גַּם אֶת הָעֹלָם נָתַן בְּלִבָּם מִבְּלִי אֲשֶׁר לֹא יִמְצָא הָאָדָם אֶת הַמַּעֲשֶׂה אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה הָאֱלֹהִים מֵרֹאשׁ וְעַד סוֹף.”
\n“He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.”
\nThe first word ‘אֶת’ connects to ‘זאת’ and the second word ‘הַכֹּל’ connects to ‘בַּכֹּל’ ‘All things’ from Genesis 24:1<\/a> “וְאַבְרָהָם זָקֵן בָּא בַּיָּמִים וַיהוָה בֵּרַךְ אֶת אַבְרָהָם בַּכֹּל.”
\n“Now Abraham was old, well advanced in age; and YHVH<\/a> had blessed Abraham in all things.”
\nThe words ‘זאת’ and ‘בכל’ connect to the sefira of Malchut<\/a> that rules the two sides of Mercy and judgment at midnight. Mercy for Israel<\/a> and judgment to the idolatrous nations <\/p>\n

\nRabbi Chiya kindly asked rabbi Shimon to explain the question he had when came to see him. He quotes Exodus 12:29<\/a> “וַיְהִי בַּחֲצִי הַלַּיְלָה וַיהוָה הִכָּה כָל בְּכוֹר בְּאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם מִבְּכֹר פַּרְעֹה הַיֹּשֵׁב עַל כִּסְאוֹ עַד בְּכוֹר הַשְּׁבִי אֲשֶׁר בְּבֵית הַבּוֹר וְכֹל בְּכוֹר בְּהֵמָה.”
\n“And it came to pass at midnight that YHVH<\/a> struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of livestock.” and said that this verse relates to what was explained before. He adds that now it looks proper for them to ask him for an answer. <\/p>\n

\nRabbi Shimon quotes Psalms 113:5<\/a>,6
\n“מִי, כַּיהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ– הַמַּגְבִּיהִי לָשָׁבֶת”
\n“הַמַּשְׁפִּילִי לִרְאוֹת– בַּשָּׁמַיִם וּבָאָרֶץ”
\n“Who is like YHVH<\/a> our God, Who is enthroned on high,”
\n“Who humbles Himself to behold The things that are in heaven and in the earth?”
\n‘Like YHVH<\/a>’ is Zeir Anpin<\/a> that rises up to the Holy Crown, Keter<\/a>, and Binah<\/a> that its illumination is above all lights and crowns. The essence of all Lights come from Binah<\/a>.
\n‘Who humbles himself to see’ is when Z”A goes down the Sefirot from Keter<\/a> of one level to another Keter<\/a>, meaning from the Right line of Binah<\/a> to the Right of Z”A himself. From one Light to another, from Malchut<\/a> or Binah<\/a> to Malchut<\/a> himself. This was done to observe the supernal<\/a> in heavens and the lower in earth as it is written; Psalms 14:2<\/a>
\n“יְהוָה מִשָּׁמַיִם הִשְׁקִיף עַל בְּנֵי אָדָם לִרְאוֹת הֲיֵשׁ מַשְׂכִּיל דֹּרֵשׁ אֶת אֱלֹהִים.”
\n“YHVH<\/a> looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God.”<\/p>\n
