\n112. אֶלָּא כָּךְ שָׁנִינוּ, הַכֶּתֶר הַזֶּה שֶׁנִּקְרָא זֹא”ת, נִקְרָא אִשָּׁ”ה, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר (בראשית ב) לְזֹאת יִקָּרֵא אִשָּׁה. לָמָּה? מִשּׁוּם כִּי מֵאִישׁ לֻקֳחָה זֹּאת. מִי הוּא אִישׁ? אוֹתוֹ שֶׁנִּקְרָא זֶה, וְזֶהוּ אִישׁ זָכָר, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר (שמות לב) כִּי זֶה מֹשֶׁה הָאִישׁ. הָאִישׁ הַזֶּה. וְנִקְרָא אִישׁ זֶה, וְזֶה אִישׁ. וְזֹאת נִלְקְחָה מִזֶּה שֶׁנִּקְרָא זָכָר.

Zohar Bo<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nTo explain the previous conflicts in Moses’s words, the Zohar explains that Moses was connected to supernal<\/a> levels. He was praised for that, as we read in Psalms 45:3<\/a>
\n“יָפְיָפִיתָ מִבְּנֵי אָדָם הוּצַק חֵן בְּשִׂפְתוֹתֶיךָ עַל כֵּן בֵּרַכְךָ אֱלֹהִים לְעוֹלָם.”
\n“You are fairer than the sons of men(Adam); Grace is poured upon Your lips; Therefore God has blessed You forever.”
\n“fairer than the sons of men (Adam)” means that Moses was greater than Seth and Chanoch. Seth was the son of Adam and righteous on a higher level. Chanoch was the seventh generation after Adam and was taken by God from among the people to be a great angel.
\n“Grace is poured upon Your lips” means that Moses was greater than Noah and his sons. On it is written “But Noah found grace in the eyes of YHVH<\/a>” (Genesis 6:8<\/a>)
\nPsalms 45:8<\/a>
\n“אָהַבְתָּ צֶּדֶק וַתִּשְׂנָא רֶשַׁע עַל כֵּן מְשָׁחֲךָ אֱלֹהִים אֱלֹהֶיךָ שֶׁמֶן שָׂשׂוֹן מֵחֲבֵרֶיךָ.”
\n“You love righteousness and hate wickedness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.”
\n“Your God has anointed You” means that Moses was greater than Abraham and Isaac.
\n“oil of gladness” means Moses was greater than Jacob.
\n“more than Your companions” means that he was more than all other prophets.
\nWhen knowing that Moses was on such supernal<\/a> levels, we can’t assume that Moses didn’t know what he was saying. <\/p>\n

\nWe learned that ‘זאת’ is Malchut<\/a>, a female, a woman as it is written in Genesis 2:23<\/a>
\n“וַיֹּאמֶר הָאָדָם זֹאת הַפַּעַם עֶצֶם מֵעֲצָמַי וּבָשָׂר מִבְּשָׂרִי לְזֹאת יִקָּרֵא אִשָּׁה כִּי מֵאִישׁ לֻקֳחָה זֹּאת.”
\n“And Adam said: “This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh; She (זֹאת) shall be called Woman (אִשָּׁה) Because she was taken out of Man (אִישׁ).”
\nMale : ‘man’ = ‘אִישׁ’, female: ‘woman’, ‘אִשָּׁה’
\nMale: ‘this\/he’ = ‘זה’, female: ‘this,she,her’ = ‘זֹאת’
\nThe ‘אִשָּׁה’, ‘woman’ is called this way because she was taken out from ‘man’ ‘אִישׁ’, which is male. ‘זֹאת’, female, was taken from ‘זה’, male.<\/p>\n

\nFor this reason, she, Malchut<\/a>, also called ‘תמר’ ‘Palm tree’ that represents male and female because the Palm tree needs to be together male and female to grow.<\/p>\n

Songs 3:6<\/a>
\n“מִי זֹאת עֹלָה מִן הַמִּדְבָּר כְּתִימֲרוֹת עָשָׁן”
\n“Who is this (זֹאת) coming out of the wilderness Like pillars (תמרות) of smoke,…”
\nSmoke ascends in white and black shades. It is the same in Malchut<\/a> that is called ‘זֹאת’. To perform her actions at midnight at once, Malchut<\/a> includes within her white that is mercy for Israel<\/a> and black that is judgments for the idol-worshippers nation.<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nMoses saw the two sides when he said “About midnight” and Hashem<\/a> appeared to fulfill his words at Midnight.
\nIn Malchut<\/a>, we join male and female to perform actions. It’s about bringing light to the vessel and ‘animate’ it. At midnight darkness, judgment meets Light, mercy. The sages say that those who are awake at midnight and study Torah draw a line of Chessed<\/a> to them. At midnight the Light begins to appear and it is a great opportunity for us to connect to that Light that is all Chassadim<\/a>, which empowers our day and actions with positive force. <\/p>\n
