100. בֹּא וּרְאֵה, הַשָּׂעִיר הַהוּא שֶׁשּׁוֹלְחִים יִשְׂרָאֵל לַעֲזָאזֵל לַמִּדְבָּר הַהוּא, כְּדֵי לָתֵת חֵלֶק לַצַּד הָאַחֵר הַהוּא לְהִתְעַסֵּק אִתּוֹ. וְאִם תֹּאמַר, שְׁנֵי שְׂעִירִים לָמָּה כָּאן? אֶחָד לַה’, וְאֶחָד לַצַּד הָאַחֵר הַהוּא. נִיחָא הַשָּׂעִיר הַהוּא שֶׁל הַצַּד הָאַחֵר, אַךְ לַה’ מַדּוּעַ?
\n101. אֶלָּא, לְמֶלֶךְ שֶׁהָיָה כּוֹעֵס עַל בְּנוֹ, קָרָא לַשּׁוֹטֵר, זֶה שֶׁעוֹשֶׂה דִּין בִּבְנֵי אָדָם תָּמִיד, כְּדֵי שֶׁיִּתְכּוֹנֵן לַעֲשׂוֹת דִּין בִּבְנוֹ. הַשּׁוֹטֵר הַהוּא שָׂמַח, וְנִכְנַס לְבֵית הַמֶּלֶךְ לֶאֱכֹל שָׁם. כֵּיוָן שֶׁרָאָה אוֹתוֹ בְנוֹ, אָמַר, וַדַּאי לֹא נִכְנַס הַשּׁוֹטֵר כָּאן בְּבֵית אָבִי אֶלָּא מִשּׁוּם שֶׁכָּעַס הַמֶּלֶךְ עָלַי. מֶה עָשָׂה? הָלַךְ וְהִתְפַּיֵּס עִמּוֹ. וּמִשּׁוּם שֶׁהִתְפַּיֵּס עִמּוֹ, צִוָּה הַמֶּלֶךְ לַעֲשׂוֹת סְעוּדָה עֶלְיוֹנָה לוֹ וְלִבְנוֹ, וְצִוָּה שֶׁלֹּא יֵדַע בּוֹ הַשּׁוֹטֵר הַהוּא. לְבַסּוֹף נִכְנַס הַשּׁוֹטֵר הַהוּא. אָמַר הַמֶּלֶךְ, עַתָּה אִם יֵדַע זֶה מֵהַסְּעוּדָה הָעֶלְיוֹנָה שֶׁהֵכַנְתִּי לִי וְלִבְנִי, יִתְבַּלְבֵּל הַשֻּׁלְחָן. מֶה עָשָׂה? קָרָא לַמְמֻנֶּה עַל הַסְּעוּדָה וְאָמַר לוֹ, תָּכִין מַשֶּׁהוּ וְתָשִׂים לְפָנַי, וְתָשִׂים לִפְנֵי הַשּׁוֹטֵר הַהוּא, כְּדֵי שֶׁיַּחְשֹׁב שֶׁסּוֹעֵד לְפָנַי מִשֶּׁלִּי, וְלֹא יֵדַע מֵהַסְּעוּדָה הַחֲשׁוּבָה הַהִיא שֶׁל שִׂמְחָה שֶׁלִּי וְשֶׁל בְּנִי, וְיִקַּח הַחֵלֶק הַהוּא וְיֵלֵךְ לוֹ, וְיִתְרַחֵק מֵהַשִּׂמְחָה שֶׁל הַסְּעוּדָה שֶׁלָּנוּ. וְאִם לֹא שֶׁעָשָׂה הַמֶּלֶךְ כָּךְ, לֹא יִתְרַחֵק הַשּׁוֹטֵר הַהוּא מִבֵּית הַמֶּלֶךְ.<\/div>\n

\nLeviticus 16:8<\/a>
\n“וְנָתַן אַהֲרֹן עַל שְׁנֵי הַשְּׂעִירִם גּוֹרָלוֹת גּוֹרָל אֶחָד לַיהוָה וְגוֹרָל אֶחָד לַעֲזָאזֵל.”
\n“Then Aaron shall cast lots for the two goats: one lot for YHVH<\/a> and the other lot for the scapegoat.”<\/p>\n

The High priest took two goats and one of them was selected by lottery as a scapegoat and sent to the desert. It was given to the other side<\/a> to get occupied with it.
\nWe understand the reason for the scapegoat but why the other goat was dedicated to YHVH<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nThe Zohar explains it using a story about a king that was upset with his son. He called the policeman to get ready to pass a judgment on his son. The policeman was happy about the task and came to the palace. When the son saw him, he understood that he was about to get punished and went to his father, the king, and made peace with him. The King ordered a special feast for him and his son. When the policeman came, the King asked to bring the food and place it in front of him and the policeman to take his share and go away. The policeman was happy with his share and couldn’t tell that there is a peaceful and special meal made for the King and his son.
\nWithout this process, the ‘policeman’ wouldn’t leave the house of the King.<\/p>\n
