116. וְכָתוּב (ויקרא כ) וְלֹא תְשַׁקְּצוּ אֶת נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶם בַּבְּהֵמָה וּבָעוֹף וּבְכֹל אֲשֶׁר תִּרְמֹשׂ הָאֲדָמָה אֲשֶׁר הִבְדַּלְתִּי לָכֶם לְטַמֵּא. מַה זֶּה לְטַמֵּא? לְטַמֵּא אֶת הָעַמִּים עוֹבְדֵי עֲבוֹדָה זָרָה, שֶׁהֲרֵי הֵם טְמֵאִים, וְהֵם בָּאִים מִצַּד הַטֻּמְאָה, וְכָל צַד נִדְבָּק בִּמְקוֹמוֹ.
\n117. רַבִּי אֶלְעָזָר הָיָה יוֹשֵׁב לִפְנֵי רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן אָבִיו. אָמַר לוֹ, זֶה שֶׁשָּׁנִינוּ עָתִיד הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא לְטַהֵר אֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל, בַּמֶּה? אָמַר לוֹ, בְּמַה שֶּׁכָּתוּב (יחזקאל לו) וְזָרַקְתִּי עֲלֵיכֶם מַיִם טְהוֹרִים וּטְהַרְתֶּם וְגוֹ’. כֵּיוָן שֶׁנִּטְהָרִים מִתְקַדְּשִׁים, וְיִשְׂרָאֵל שֶׁנִּדְבָּקִים בַּקָּדוֹשׁ-בָּרוּךְ-הוּא נִקְרְאוּ קֹדֶשׁ, שֶׁכָּתוּב (ירמיה ב) קֹדֶשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵל לַה’ רֵאשִׁית תְּבוּאָתֹה, וְכָתוּב (שמות כו) וְאַנְשֵׁי קֹדֶשׁ תִּהְיוּן לִי. אַשְׁרֵיהֶם יִשְׂרָאֵל שֶׁהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא אוֹמֵר עֲלֵיהֶם, (ויקרא כו) וִהְיִיתֶם לִי קְדֹשִׁים כִּי קָדוֹשׁ אֲנִי ה’, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁכָּתוּב וּבוֹ תִדְבָּק, וְכָתוּב (תהלים קמז) לֹא עָשָׂה כֵן לְכָל גּוֹי וּמִשְׁפָּטִים בַּל יְדָעוּם הַלְלוּיָהּ.<\/div>\n

\nLeviticus 20:25<\/a>
\n“וְהִבְדַּלְתֶּם בֵּין הַבְּהֵמָה הַטְּהֹרָה לַטְּמֵאָה וּבֵין הָעוֹף הַטָּמֵא לַטָּהֹר וְלֹא תְשַׁקְּצוּ אֶת נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶם בַּבְּהֵמָה וּבָעוֹף וּבְכֹל אֲשֶׁר תִּרְמֹשׂ הָאֲדָמָה אֲשֶׁר הִבְדַּלְתִּי לָכֶם לְטַמֵּא.”
\n“You shall therefore distinguish between clean animals and unclean, between unclean birds and clean, and you shall not make yourselves abominable by beast or by bird, or by any kind of living thing that creeps on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean.”<\/p>\n

He asks what is “Which I have separated from you as unclean” and explains that Israel<\/a> is from the side of holiness and the other nations are idol worshipers and impurity is part of them.<\/p>\n

\nRabbi Elazar was sitting in front of Rabbi Shimon, his father. He said; we learned that in the future the Holy One Blessed be He would purify Israel<\/a>. What would he use to do that? Rabbi Shimon answers by quoting Ezekiel 36:25<\/a>
\n“וְזָרַקְתִּי עֲלֵיכֶם מַיִם טְהוֹרִים וּטְהַרְתֶּם מִכֹּל טֻמְאוֹתֵיכֶם וּמִכָּל גִּלּוּלֵיכֶם אֲטַהֵר אֶתְכֶם.”
\n“Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.”<\/p>\n

The clean water is the secret of the water of Chassadim<\/a> that includes the Light from the Left and brings purification. The purification connects Israel<\/a> to the holiness of Zeir Anpin<\/a> that includes the Mochin<\/a> (Higher Light) of Father and Mother<\/a> that are called ‘Holy’.
\nIsrael<\/a> adhere to the Holy One Blessed be He and called ‘Holy’ as it is written;
\nJeremiah 2:3<\/a>
\n“קֹדֶשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵל לַיהוָה רֵאשִׁית תְּבוּאָתֹה כָּל אֹכְלָיו יֶאְשָׁמוּ רָעָה תָּבֹא אֲלֵיהֶם נְאֻם יְהוָה.”
\n“Israel<\/a> is holiness to YHVH<\/a>, The first fruits of His increase. All that devour him will offend; Disaster will come upon them,” says YHVH<\/a>”
\nand
\nExodus 22:30<\/a>
\n“וְאַנְשֵׁי קֹדֶשׁ תִּהְיוּן לִי וּבָשָׂר בַּשָּׂדֶה טְרֵפָה לֹא תֹאכֵלוּ לַכֶּלֶב תַּשְׁלִכוּן אֹתוֹ.”
\n“And you shall be holy men to Me: you shall not eat meat torn by beasts in the field; you shall throw it to the dogs.”<\/p>\n

Israel<\/a> is happy for the Holy One Blessed be He says on them;<\/p>\n

Leviticus 11:44<\/a>
\n“כִּי אֲנִי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם וְהִתְקַדִּשְׁתֶּם וִהְיִיתֶם קְדֹשִׁים כִּי קָדוֹשׁ אָנִי וְלֹא תְטַמְּאוּ אֶת נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶם בְּכָל הַשֶּׁרֶץ הָרֹמֵשׂ עַל הָאָרֶץ.”
\n“For I am YHVH<\/a> your God. You shall therefore consecrate yourselves, and you shall be holy; for I am holy. Neither shall you defile yourselves with any creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
\nDeuteronomy 10:20<\/a>
\n“אֶת יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ תִּירָא אֹתוֹ תַעֲבֹד וּבוֹ תִדְבָּק וּבִשְׁמוֹ תִּשָּׁבֵעַ.”
\n“You shall fear YHVH<\/a> your God; you shall serve Him, and to Him you shall hold fast, and take oaths in His name.”

\n“לֹא עָשָׂה כֵן לְכָל גּוֹי וּמִשְׁפָּטִים בַּל יְדָעוּם הַלְלוּ יָהּ.”
\n“He has not done this for any other nation; they do not know his regulations. Praise YH! (Hallelujah)”<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nThe Israelites<\/a> accepted the Torah and the Holy One Blessed be He gave them the path to holiness through the Torah. If we stay on the path we will have the final purification and reach holiness.<\/p>\n
