130. וְאִם תֹּאמַר, שִׁמְשׁוֹן נְזִיר אֱלֹהִים הָיָה, לָמָּה נֶעֱנַשׁ? אֶלָּא נָאֶה הוּא הַדָּבָר, שֶׁבָּעַל בַּת אֵל נֵכָר, וְהָיָה לוֹ לְהִתְחַבֵּר בְּשֶׁלּוֹ, בְּמַה שֶּׁרָאוּי לוֹ. וְהוּא, שֶׁהָיָה קָדוֹשׁ, עֵרַב אוֹתָהּ קְדֻשָּׁה בְּבַת אֵל נֵכָר, וְעָזַב מְקוֹמוֹ שֶׁרָאוּי לְאוֹתָהּ קְדֻשָּׁה, וְלָכֵן נֶעֱנַשׁ.
\n131. וְיֵשׁ מִי שֶׁאוֹמֵר, שֶׁאֵין לוֹ חֵלֶק בְּאוֹתוֹ עוֹלָם. מָה הַטַּעַם? מִשּׁוּם שֶׁאָמַר (שופטים טז) תָּמֹת נַפְשִׁי עִם פְּלִשְׁתִּים, וּמָסַר חֶלְקוֹ בְּחֵלֶק פְּלִשְׁתִּים, שֶׁתָּמוּת נַפְשׁוֹ אִתָּם בָּעוֹלָם הַהוּא. כָּךְ הָיוּ מַכְרִיזִים עַל הַנָּזִיר: לֵךְ לֵךְ, אוֹמְרִים לְנָזִיר, סָבִיב סָבִיב, וְלַכֶּרֶם אַל תִקְרַב. וַהֲרֵי פֵּרְשׁוּהָ הַחֲבֵרִים.
\n132. לְוִיִּם, מַה כָּתוּב בָּהֶם? (במדבר ח) וְכֹה תַעֲשֶׂה לָהֶם לְטַהֲרָם הַזֵּה עֲלֵיהֶם מֵי חַטָּאת וְהֶעֱבִירוּ תַעַר עַל כָּל בְּשָׂרָם. כֵּיוָן שֶׁהֶעֱבִירוּ שֵׂעָר וְעָשׂוּ כָּל זֶה, אָז נִקְרָאִים הַלְוִיִּם טָהוֹר, וְלֹא קָדוֹשׁ. אֲבָל נָזִיר הַזֶּה, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁנִּפְרָד מִצַּד זֶה, נִקְרָא קָדוֹשׁ, וְלֹא טָהוֹר. בִּגְלַל כָּךְ כָּתוּב, כָּל יְמֵי נֶדֶר נִזְרוֹ וְגוֹ’ אֲשֶׁר יַזִּיר לַה’ קָדֹשׁ יִהְיֶה וְגוֹ’.<\/div>\n

Zohar Naso<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nSamson was a Nazirite and the Zohar asks why he was punished and explains that Samson deserved the punishment because he was with a woman that worshipped another god. He was supposed to be with a woman of his God so he would stay holy. Because he mixed holiness with a daughter of another god, he left the place of holiness and for that, he was punished.

\nSamson said, “Let me die with the Philistines!” (Judges 16:30<\/a>), and some say that because of his words, he has no share in the world to come because he connected his soul to the Philistines. They would announce about the Nazirite ‘Go around but do not get close to the vineyard’<\/p>\n

\nNumbers 8:7<\/a>
\n“וְכֹה תַעֲשֶׂה לָהֶם לְטַהֲרָם הַזֵּה עֲלֵיהֶם מֵי חַטָּאת וְהֶעֱבִירוּ תַעַר עַל כָּל בְּשָׂרָם וְכִבְּסוּ בִגְדֵיהֶם וְהִטֶּהָרוּ.”
\n“Thus you shall do to them to cleanse them: Sprinkle water of purification on them, and let them shave all their body, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean.”
\nAfter the Levites went through the cleansing process that the Torah commanded, they were called ‘pure’ and not ‘holy’. The Nazirite that separated himself completely from the Left, was called ‘Holy’, and not ‘Pure’. As it was written
\nNumbers 6:5<\/a>
\n“כָּל יְמֵי נֶדֶר נִזְרוֹ תַּעַר לֹא יַעֲבֹר עַל רֹאשׁוֹ עַד מְלֹאת הַיָּמִם אֲשֶׁר יַזִּיר לַיהוָה קָדֹשׁ יִהְיֶה גַּדֵּל פֶּרַע שְׂעַר רֹאשׁוֹ.”
\n“‘All the days of the vow of his separation no razor shall come upon his head; until the days are fulfilled for which he separated himself to YHVH<\/a>, he shall be holy<\/strong>. Then he shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow.”<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nThe ‘vineyard is the aspect of Malchut<\/a>, a place of pleasure that that Nazirite should avoid from getting in and ‘grounds’ his spiritual level.
\nThe Nazirite is called ‘Holy’ because he isolates himself from the pleasures and desires of this world. His soul then disconnects from the ‘gravity’ of this world and he can be connected spiritually higher to a state of ‘Holiness’. <\/p>\n
