Hebrew translation:<\/p>\n

256. עַל אֱדוֹם אַשְׁלִיךְ נַעֲלִי. מַה זֶּה אַשְׁלִיךְ נַעֲלִי? אֶלָּא גַּם זֶה כָּךְ הָיָה לְמֵרָחוֹק, שֶׁכָּתוּב (בראשית כה) וַיֹּאמֶר עֵשָׂו אֶל יַעֲקֹב הַלְעִיטֵנִי נָא מִן הָאָדֹם הָאָדֹם הַזֶּה כִּי עָיֵף אָנֹכִי. הַלְעִיטֵנִי, הַלְעָטָה מַמָּשׁ, פְּתִיחַת הַפֶּה וְהַגָּרוֹן לִבְלֹעַ. אָמַר דָּוִד לְאוֹתוֹ הַבַּלְעָן מַלְעִיט הַלְּעָטִים: אֲנִי אֶזְרֹק עָלָיו נַעֲלִי לִסְתֹּם אֶת גְּרוֹנוֹ.

Zohar Balak<\/strong><\/p>\n

Psalms 60:10<\/a>
\n“מוֹאָב סִיר רַחְצִי עַל אֱדוֹם אַשְׁלִיךְ נַעֲלִי עָלַי פְּלֶשֶׁת הִתְרֹעָעִי.”
\n“Moab is My washpot; Over Edom, I will cast My shoe; Over Philistia, I shout in triumph.”<\/p>\n

\nThe Zohar asks what is “Over Edom, I will cast My shoe” and answers that King David saw visions from afar that it is written in Genesis 25:30<\/a>
\n“וַיֹּאמֶר עֵשָׂו אֶל יַעֲקֹב הַלְעִיטֵנִי נָא מִן הָאָדֹם הָאָדֹם הַזֶּה כִּי עָיֵף אָנֹכִי עַל כֵּן קָרָא שְׁמוֹ אֱדוֹם.”
\n“And Esau said to Jacob, “Please feed me with that same red stew, for I am weary.” Therefore his name was called Edom.”<\/p>\n

Jacob said to Esau ‘Feed me’, which is literal feeding, meaning the opening of the mouth and throat to push and swallow the food. King David said I will cast my shoe on his mouth to shut the throat of ‘Edom’.<\/p>\n

\nDavid also saw from afar that the Philistines are from Cannan, which is the evil side of the other-side<\/a>, Sitra Achra<\/a>. The Philistines are from that side of Cannan.
\nThe sound with the trumpet is called ‘תרועה’ ‘Teruah<\/a>’. It also means ‘breaking’ and the Zohar connects “Over Philistia, I shout in triumph” with breaking the power of the enemy.
\nThe Sitra Achra<\/a> needs to be broken as we read in Numbers 10:9<\/a>
\n“וְכִי תָבֹאוּ מִלְחָמָה בְּאַרְצְכֶם עַל הַצַּר הַצֹּרֵר אֶתְכֶם וַהֲרֵעֹתֶם בַּחֲצֹצְרֹת וֲנִזְכַּרְתֶּם לִפְנֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם וְנוֹשַׁעְתֶּם מֵאֹיְבֵיכֶם.”
\n“And when you go to war in your land against the enemy who attacks you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets so that you will be thought of by YHVH<\/a> your God, and be saved from your enemies.”<\/p>\n
