288. כּוּתִי אֶחָד שָׁאַל אֶת רַבִּי אֶלְעָזָר, אָמַר לוֹ, כֹּחַ חָזָק רָאִיתִי בְּבִלְעָם יוֹתֵר מִמֹּשֶׁה. שֶׁאִלּוּ בְּמֹשֶׁה כָּתוּב וַיִּקְרָא אֶל מֹשֶׁה, וּבְבִלְעָם כָּתוּב וַיִּקָּר אֱלֹהִים אֶל בִּלְעָם, וְכָתוּב וַיָּבֹא אֱלֹהִים אֶל בִּלְעָם.<\/div>\n
289. אָמַר לוֹ, לְמֶלֶךְ שֶׁיּוֹשֵׁב בְּהֵיכָלוֹ עַל כִּסֵּא, וּמְצֹרָע אֶחָד קָרָא לַפֶּתַח. אָמַר: מִי הוּא שֶׁמַּכֶּה לַשַּׁעַר. אָמְרוּ: מְצֹרָע פְּלוֹנִי. אָמַר: אַל יִכָּנֵס לְכָאן וְלֹא יְטַנֵּף אֶת הַהֵיכָל, יָדַעְתִּי שֶׁאִם עִם שָׁלִיחַ אֹמַר לוֹ, לֹא יַחְשֹׁשׁ, וְיֵלֵךְ בְּנִי וְיִטָּמֵא וְיִקְרַב אֵלָיו. אֲבָל אֲנִי אֵלֵךְ וְאַתְרֶה בּוֹ שֶׁיַּרְחִיק דַּרְכּוֹ מִמּוֹשַׁב בְּנִי וְלֹא יְטַמֵּא אוֹתוֹ. הִקְדִּים הַמֶּלֶךְ וְהָלַךְ אֵלָיו וְהִתְרָה, וְאָמַר לוֹ: מְצֹרָע מְצֹרָע, מְנַע רַגְלְךָ מֵהַדֶּרֶךְ שֶׁבְּנִי נִמְצָא שָׁם, וְאִם לֹא – אֲנִי נִשְׁבַּע שֶׁיַּעֲשׂוּ בְּנֵי שִׁפְחוֹתַי מִגּוּפְךָ חֲתִיכוֹת.<\/div>\n

Zohar Balak<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nOne Cuthean<\/a> asked Rabbi Elazar, saying; I see that Balaam was greater than Moses. It is written that God called Moses (Leviticus 1:1<\/a>) ”Now YHVH<\/a> called to Moses,” but with Balaam, it says (Numbers 23:4<\/a>) “Now God met with Balaam” and (Numbers 22:9<\/a>) “And God came to Balaam and said.”<\/p>\n

\nRabbi Elazar answered; it is like a king sitting on his throne and was told that a leper wishes to enter the palace. The king wants to send him away and avoid contamination of the palace. He knew that sending commands through another would not be as effective as if he delivers the message by himself. The king wants to make sure that the leper stays away and won’t infect the place of his child. He went to the leper and threatened him to stay away from any place that his son walks of dwell because otherwise, he swears that his maids’ sons would cut him to pieces.<\/p>\n

\nWhen the King is told that a beloved friend is at the gate, he calls him with love, inviting him into the palace, and asks his staff to make the palace ready so he can talk to him.<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nUnfortunately, most people of the world lost the connection to Hashem<\/a>, and that distance allowed the other side<\/a> to invade and contaminate our once beautiful palaces. If we knock on the gates of prayers with faith<\/a> and love to Hashem<\/a>, he will call us in and protect us.
\nThere is no doubt that if we fail to fight the evil, Hashem<\/a> won’t let the evil side enter the fiftieth gate that is the gate to his inner chambers. When the time comes, he will come out to take revenge on those who hurt his children. He will cleanse our palace from all evil.
\nThe prophet Isaiah describes Mashiach when he takes revenge on the evil. The blood is a key element in the revenge and cleansing process at the final war. The evil side spilled a lot of pure blood, and they will suffer greatly as we read below “I have trodden them in My anger, And trampled them in My fury.”

\n“מִי זֶה בָּא מֵאֱדוֹם חֲמוּץ בְּגָדִים מִבָּצְרָה זֶה הָדוּר בִּלְבוּשׁוֹ צֹעֶה בְּרֹב כֹּחוֹ אֲנִי מְדַבֵּר בִּצְדָקָה רַב לְהוֹשִׁיעַ.”
\n“מַדּוּעַ אָדֹם לִלְבוּשֶׁךָ וּבְגָדֶיךָ כְּדֹרֵךְ בְּגַת.”

\n“Who is this who comes from Edom, With dyed garments from Bozrah, This One who is glorious in His apparel, Traveling in the greatness of His strength?— “I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save.”
\n“Why is Your apparel red, And Your garments like one who treads in the winepress?”
\n“I have trodden the winepress alone, And from the people, no one was with Me. For I have trodden them in My anger, And trampled them in My fury; Their blood is sprinkled upon My garments, And I have stained all My robes.”<\/p>\n
