296. עַד שֶׁהָיוּ הוֹלְכִים, אוֹתָם עַרְבִים חָזְרוּ אֵלָיו. אָמְרוּ לוֹ, זָקֵן זָקֵן, אַתָּה שְׁאַלְתָּנוּ מִימֵי הָעוֹלָם, וְלֹא שָׁאַלְתָּ עַל יוֹם זֶה, שֶׁרָאִינוּ תְמִיהָה עַל תְּמִיהָה. רָאִינוּ חֲמִשָּׁה בְּנֵי אָדָם יוֹשְׁבִים, וְזָקֵן אֶחָד יַחַד אִתָּם, וְרָאִינוּ עוֹפוֹת מִתְכַּנְּסִים וּפוֹרְשִׂים כְּנָפַיִם עַל רָאשֵׁיהֶם, אֵלּוּ הוֹלְכִים וְאֵלּוּ שָׁבִים, וְהַצֵּל לֹא עָבַר מֵעַל רָאשֵׁיהֶם, וְאוֹתוֹ זָקֵן הֵרִים קוֹלוֹ עֲלֵיהֶם, וְהֵם שׁוֹמְעִים.<\/div>\n
297. אָמַר, עַל זֶה שָׁאַלְתִּי. עַרְבִים עַרְבִים, תֵּלְכוּ, וְדֶרֶךְ זוֹ תְּהֵא תְקִינָה לִפְנֵיכֶם בְּכָל מַה שֶּׁתִּרְצוּ. שְׁנֵי דְבָרִים אֲמַרְתֶּם לִי שֶׁשָּׂמַחְתִּי בָהֶם. הָלְכוּ. אָמְרוּ לוֹ הַחֲבֵרִים, אוֹתוֹ מָקוֹם שֶׁרַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן שָׁרוּי בּוֹ, אֵיךְ אָנוּ יוֹדְעִים? אָמַר לָהֶם, תַּשְׁאִירוּ לְבַעַל פְּסִיעוֹת הַבְּהֵמוֹת שֶׁהוּא יַדְרִיךְ פְּסִיעוֹתָיו לְשָׁם. לֹא הָיָה טוֹעֵן חֲמוֹרוֹ, וַחֲמוֹרוֹ סָטָה מֵהַדֶּרֶךְ שְׁנֵי מִילִין, וְהָלַךְ לְשָׁם.<\/div>\n
298. הִתְחִיל לִנְהֹר שָׁלֹשׁ פְּעָמִים, יָרַד רַבִּי פִּנְחָס וְאָמַר לַחֲבֵרִים, נָקוּם לְקַבֵּל סֵבֶר פְּנֵי הַיָּמִים, שֶׁעַכְשָׁו יֵצְאוּ אֵלֵינוּ פָּנִים גְּדוֹלוֹת וּפָנִים קְטַנּוֹת. שָׁמַע רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן נַהֲרַת הַחֲמוֹר, אָמַר לַחֲבֵרִים, נָקוּם שֶׁהֲרֵי קוֹל (שִׂמְחַת) הַחֲמוֹר שֶׁל הַזָּקֵן הֶחָסִיד הִתְעוֹרֵר אֵלֵינוּ. קָם רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן וְקָמוּ הַחֲבֵרִים.<\/div>\n

Zohar Balak<\/strong>

\nWhile they were walking, the Arabs returned to them, telling Rabbi Pinchas<\/a>, old man, you asked about things from the past, but you didn’t ask about today. We saw something that made us amazed and wonder. We saw five people sitting and an old man with them. Above, we saw birds gathering and spreading wings above their heads, some go, and some return, and there were no shadows above their heads. The old man was talking, and they were listening.<\/p>\n

\nRabbi Pinchas<\/a> said I was asking about this. Arabs, You made me happy with two things, now go, and this road will be ready for you in whatever you wish.
\nThe friends asked Rabbi Pinchas<\/a>, how can we tell where Rabbi Shimon is?” He answered, leave it to the one that controls the footsteps of the animals to guide their footsteps to the place. He didn’t guide his donkey that took a different way, two miles away from the road. They went there. <\/p>\n

\nThe donkey began to bray three times. Rabbi Pinchas<\/a> came down off the donkey and told his friends, let us welcome the face of Atik Yomin<\/a>, meaning the Shechina, because coming toward us is the great face and small face, meaning Rabbi Shimon and his students.
\nRabbi Shimon heard the donkey’s braying and told his student, let us rise because the voice of the donkey of the old sage awakened to our presence. Rabbi Shimon and the friends rose to welcome them.<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nThe Light from the meeting with Rabbi Pinchas<\/a> made the Arabs remember the amazing event they couldn’t explain.
\nWhen Rabbi Shimon taught his students about the secrets of the higher levels, the angels and other righteous souls gathered above to listen and protect them. The heavens above their heads were open, and angels could go up and return.
\nThe Arabs saw them as birds that don’t cast shadows because spiritual entities don’t cast shadows.
\nRabbi Pinchas<\/a> connected his donkey to the divine ‘GPS’ when he said, “leave it to the one that controls the footsteps of the animals to guide their footsteps. When we are lost, we better trust the divine GPS that knows where we need to be at any time. This GPS is activated by certainty in Hashem<\/a>. .”<\/p>\n
