307. בֵּין כָּךְ רָאוּ אֶת רַבִּי פִּנְחָס שֶׁהָיָה בָּא. הִגִּיעוּ אֵלָיו, בָּא רַבִּי פִּנְחָס וְנָשַׁק אֶת רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן. אָמַר, נָשַׁקְתִּי אֶת פִּי ה’, הִתְבַּשֵּׂם בַּבְּשָׂמִים שֶׁל גִּנָּתוֹ. שָׂמְחוּ כְאֶחָד וְיָשְׁבוּ. כֵּיוָן שֶׁיָּשְׁבוּ, פָּרְחוּ כָּל אוֹתָם עוֹפוֹת שֶׁהָיוּ עוֹשִׂים צֵל וְהִתְפַּזְּרוּ. הֶחֱזִיר רֹאשׁוֹ רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן וְהֵרִים לָהֶם קוֹל וְאָמַר, עוֹפוֹת הַשָּׁמַיִם! אֵינְכֶם מַשְׁגִּיחִים בִּכְבוֹד רִבּוֹנְכֶם שֶׁעוֹמֵד כָּאן?! עָמְדוּ, וְלֹא לָקְחוּ מִמְּקוֹמָם, וְלֹא קָרְבוּ אֵלָיו. אָמַר רַבִּי פִּנְחָס, אֹמַר לָהֶם שֶׁיֵּלְכוּ לְדַרְכָּם, שֶׁהֲרֵי לֹא נָתְנוּ לָהֶם רְשׁוּת לַחֲזֹר?<\/div>\n
308. אָמַר רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן, יָדַעְתִּי שֶׁהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא רוֹצֶה לְהַרְחִישׁ לָנוּ נֵס. עוֹפוֹת עוֹפוֹת! לְכוּ לְדַרְכְּכֶם, וְאִמְרוּ לְאוֹתוֹ הַמְמֻנֶּה עֲלֵיכֶם שֶׁהֲרֵי בַּהַתְחָלָה הָיָה בִּרְשׁוּתוֹ, וְכָעֵת זֶה לֹא קַיָּם בִּרְשׁוּתוֹ. אֲבָל הֶעֱלֵינוּ אוֹתוֹ לְיוֹם הַסֶּלַע, כְּשֶׁעוֹלֶה עָנָן בֵּין שְׁנֵי חֲזָקִים, וְלֹא מִתְחַבְּרִים. הִתְפַּזְּרוּ אוֹתָם עוֹפוֹת וְהָלְכוּ.<\/div>\n

Zohar Balak<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nWhile discussing the study, they saw Rabbi Pinchas<\/a> coming and kissing Rabbi Shimon, then he said, I kissed the mouth of Hashem<\/a> “‘פִּי ה,” and smelled the fragrance of his garden. They were happy together and sat down. The birds that provided shade from above scattered. Rabbi Shimon turned his head and raised his voice on the birds, scolding them, birds of the heavens, aren’t you giving honor to your master that stands here. The birds stood still and didn’t continue nor come back closer.
\nRabbi Pinchas<\/a> asked Rabbi Shimon to tell them to go their way because they don’t have permission to return to their place.<\/p>\n

\nRabbi Shimon said, I know that the Holy One Blessed be He wants to make them a miracle, bringing shade from another place, birds, birds, go on your way and tell your superior that you were under him in the beginning, and sent you to provide us with a shade that you are now under the rule of Rabbi Pinchas<\/a> ben Yair, who doesn’t want you. Still, I will send you up to a day that is hard as a rock when a cloud rises between two unconnected strong rays of the sun. The birds spread out and left them.<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nRabbi Shimon could command angels and take complete dominion over them, even though they have a superior above that sends them to do tasks below. When they come to this world, Rabbi Shimon could bind them to his will. The Zohar tells us several stories about his ability to control angels, even the angel of death<\/a>.
\nThese stories teach us that if a human can have these abilities, then there is a path to achieve that. Rabbi Shimon had a soul from the level of Atzilut<\/a>. We are far from that level, but we can still take the path of good actions and studies to purify and elevate our souls higher and higher to draw positive angels around us. The most important is to avoid judgments\/criticism of other people and avoid anger at all costs.
\nThe study of the Zohar carries the words and power of Rabbi Shimon. The angels concealed in the Zohar provide support and ‘shade’ to protect us. Those who study the Zohar for a while have elevated self-awareness and inner control. Certainty is an important key to keep the support of our personal angels.<\/p>\n
