320. רְאוּ מֶה עָשָׂה הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא שֶׁנָּטַע אִילָנוֹת אֵלּוּ, אַשְׁרֵי הַדֶּרֶךְ הַזֶּה. וְלֹא דַי אִילָן אֶחָד, אֶלָּא שְׁלֹשָׁה אִילָנוֹת גְּדוֹלִים פָּרְשׂוּ עֲנָפִים לְכָל צַד עָשָׂה לָנוּ הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא. יְהִי רָצוֹן לִפְנֵי הַשָּׁמַיִם שֶׁלֹּא יָעָבְרוּ לְעוֹלָם אִילָנוֹת אֵלּוּ וּמַעְיָן זֶה מִמָּקוֹם זֶה, וְעַד הַיּוֹם עוֹמְדִים שָׁם, וְאוֹתוֹ מַעְיַן מַיִם. וְהָאֲנָשִׁים קוֹרְאִים לָהֶם נְצִיבוּת שֶׁל רַבִּי פִּנְחָס בֶּן יָאִיר.<\/div>\n
321. פָּתַח רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן וְאָמַר, (בראשית לג) וַיִּשָּׂא אֶת עֵינָיו וַיַּרְא אֶת הַנָּשִׁים וְאֶת הַיְלָדִים וַיֹּאמֶר מִי אֵלֶּה לָּךְ וַיֹּאמַר הַיְלָדִים אֲשֶׁר חָנַן אֱלֹהִים אֶת עַבְדֶּךָ. בֹּא וּרְאֵה, אוֹתוֹ עֵשָׂו הָרָשָׁע נָתַן עֵינוֹ לְעַיֵּן בַּנָּשִׁים, וּבִגְלָלוֹ הִתְקִין יַעֲקֹב תִּקּוּנָיו. שָׂם שְׁפָחוֹת מִקָּדִימָה, וּבְנֵיהֶם לְאָחוֹר, שֶׁחֲשׁוּבִים יוֹתֵר. לֵאָה אַחֲרֵיהֶם, וּבָנֶיהָ מֵאָחוֹר. אַחַר כָּךְ יוֹסֵף, וְאַחֲרֶיהָ רָחֵל, וְהוּא עָבַר לִפְנֵיהֶם.<\/div>\n

Zohar Balak<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nReferring to the miracles of the trees and the spring (see #309 above), he says, see the work of the Holy One Blessed be He that blessed this way. He planted not just one tree, but three huge trees with branches spread to all sides. Let it be the will of the heavens that these trees and this spring stay in this place forever. Until this day, the trees and the water spring can still be found in that place. The people call it the place that Rabbi Pinchas<\/a> ben Yair initiated.<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nRabbi Shimon and his friends experienced a miracle and praised Hashem<\/a> for it. Even though they continued their way and had no need for the trees and sprint, they asked the heavens to preserve the place so others that pass by that way would benefit from the trees and the water spring.
\nRighteous people always think about others. There is a story of a righteous Rabbi that visited a town and as he was leaving with a train, he waved goodbye to the people that escorted him to the station. While waving, a glove fell off his hand outside the car. Since the train was already pulling out of the station, he immediately threw the other glove outside. His assistant asked him why he threw the glove and the righteous Rabbi said, I don’t have use for one glove, and the one who pick up the other glove better have the pair. <\/p>\n
