\nAfter hearing the reason, the Accuser becomes jealous of the minister because the Holy One Blessed be He, gives him control of the souls with sins and iniquities, but his minister receives the children that never had a taste of sin. He immediately went to take the children away from under the control of his minister.
\nThat is why he replied first with “אֲשֶׁר חָנַן אֱלֹהִים אֶת עַבְדֶּךָ” “whom God has graciously given to your servant.” The meaning of “your servant” here is the minister that received the children that didn’t sin. The accuser wants to stop the minister from having greater praise than him.<\/p>\n

There are five levels of the soul, Nefesh<\/a>, Ruach<\/a>, Neshama<\/a>, Chaya<\/a>, and Yechida<\/a>. All levels are needed to have a complete soul, but a person can not achieve these levels in one incarnation. Souls that die at an early stage of development are called nursing babies. Because they are given to death, they earn greater power to achieve higher levels of the soul. As we read above (#329), “from the side of their oppressors, there is power.”<\/p>\n

\nGenesis 33:3<\/a> “וְהוּא עָבַר לִפְנֵיהֶם וַיִּשְׁתַּחוּ אַרְצָה שֶׁבַע פְּעָמִים עַד גִּשְׁתּוֹ עַד אָחִיו.”
\n“And he passed over before them and bowed himself to the ground seven times until he came near to his brother.”<\/p>\n

When the prayers of Yom Kippur ascend before the Holy One Blessed be He, it is written; “וְהוּא עָבַר לִפְנֵיהֶם” “and he passed ahead of them.” It is the Holy Spirit that is Malchut<\/a> passed ahead of them as it is written; Micha 2:13<\/a> “וַיַּעֲבֹר מַלְכָּם לִפְנֵיהֶם” “And their king passed before them.”
\n“וַיִּשְׁתַּחוּ אַרְצָה שֶׁבַע פְּעָמִים” “bowed to the ground seven times,” the Holy Spirit reduced itself seven times toward the levels of Zeir Anpin<\/a>, Chessed<\/a> to Malchut<\/a>. As the Holy Spirit lessened itself through the levels, each level got included in it.
\n“עַד גִּשְׁתּוֹ עַד אָחִיו” “until he came near to his brother” means reaching the level of mercy that is the son, Zeir Anpin<\/a> and a daughter that is the Congregation of Israel<\/a>. The son is (Exodus 4:22<\/a> ) “בְּנִי בְכֹרִי יִשְׂרָאֵל,” “Israel<\/a> is my firstborn son,” and the daughter is Malchut<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The accuser that receives the scapegoat on Yom Kippur is reminded by the Holy Spirit, the Shechina, about the young souls given to him. Since he is happy with the gift he received from the high priest, he becomes an advocate for the children’s souls. If they weren’t given to death, the accuser wouldn’t turn to be their advocate and give them the power to complete their soul levels<\/a>. <\/p>\n
