336. פָּתַח וְאָמַר, (מיכה ו) עַמִּי זְכָר נָא מַה יָּעַץ בָּלָק מֶלֶךְ מוֹאָב וְגוֹ’. עַמִּי, כַּמָּה רַחֲמָן הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא עַל בָּנָיו. אַף עַל גַּב שֶׁחָטְאוּ לְפָנָיו, כָּל דְּבָרָיו בְּאַהֲבָה אֲלֵיהֶם כְּאָב אֶל בְּנוֹ. חָטָא הַבֵּן לְאָבִיו – מַלְקֵהוּ. כָּל עוֹד כְּשֶׁמַּלְקֵהוּ וְלֹא שָׁב מִדַּרְכּוֹ, נוֹזֵף בּוֹ בִּדְבָרִים וְלֹא מְקַבֵּל. אָמַר אָבִיו: אֵינִי רוֹצֶה לַעֲשׂוֹת לִבְנִי כְּמוֹ שֶׁעָשִׂיתִי עַד הַיּוֹם. אִם אַלְקֶנּוּ – יַחֲשֹׁשׁ בְּרֹאשׁוֹ, הֲרֵי הַכְּאֵב שֶׁלּוֹ אֶצְלִי. אִם אֶנְזֹף בּוֹ – דְּמוּתוֹ מִשְׁתַּנֵּית. מָה אֶעֱשֶׂה? אֶלָּא אֵלֵךְ וְאֶתְחַנֵּן אֵלָיו וְאֹמַר לוֹ דְּבָרִים רַכִּים כְּדֵי שֶׁלֹּא יִתְעַצֵּב.<\/div>\n

Zohar Balak<\/strong>
\nHe opened and said, (Micah 6:5<\/a> )
\n“עַמִּי זְכָר נָא מַה יָּעַץ בָּלָק מֶלֶךְ מוֹאָב וּמֶה עָנָה אֹתוֹ בִּלְעָם בֶּן בְּעוֹר מִן הַשִּׁטִּים עַד הַגִּלְגָּל לְמַעַן דַּעַת צִדְקוֹת יְהוָה.”
\n“O My people, remember now What Balak king of Moab counseled, And what Balaam the son of Beor answered him, From Acacia Grove to Gilgal, That you may know the righteousness of YHVH<\/a>.”
\nHow merciful is the Holy One Blessed be He for his children? Even though they have sinned before him, he still speaks to them with love like a father speaks to his child. If the son sinned to his father, he gets beaten. If the beating didn’t make the child repent, he scolds the child with words. If the child still didn’t accept change, the father thinks that if I beat him again like before, his head would hurt, and the pain would be upon me. If he scolds him, the child would no longer be the same. What would I do? Instead, I will go and beg him and speak to him softly so he won’t be depressed. <\/p>\n
