255. אָמַר אוֹתוֹ סוֹחֵר, וַדַּאי סִפְרוֹ בְיָדִי הוּא, שֶׁיָּרַשְׁתִּי אוֹתוֹ מֵאֲבִי אַבָּא, וְכָל דְּבָרָיו שֶׁל אוֹתוֹ סֵפֶר, כֻּלָּם מְיֻסָּדִים עַל סוֹדוֹת הַתּוֹרָה, וְסוֹדוֹת נֶעְלָמִים מָצָאתִי בוֹ וּדְבָרִים שֶׁל רְפוּאָה רַבִּים, שֶׁהוּא אָמַר שֶׁלֹּא רָאוּי לַעֲשׂוֹת אוֹתָם חוּץ (אִם) הוּא יְרֵא חֵטְא.<\/div>\n

Zohar Haazinu<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nThe merchant said, indeed, I inherited Kartana’s book from my father. All the secrets in the book are based on the secrets of the Torah. I found hidden secrets in it, and many things related to healing are not to be performed unless the healer fears committing sins.<\/p>\n

\nThe wise healer took the remedies in the book from the actions of Balaam. He was whispering magic words with his mouth over the disease, and he would instantly heal the sick. All of these are explained in the book. Some are forbidden, and some are allowed for the one who fears committing sins. It is said in the book that there are many diseases cured from the side of the snake<\/a> by whispering with the mouth, and some cured from the side of magic. Some are forbidden from uttering with the mouth, and those forbidden to act are mentioned in the book. Some known diseases are found in the book with what is needed to say and banish them. This is a great wonder.<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nThe book of the wise healer was based on secrets from the Torah. The Holy Ari could derive the energy of everything in this world from the Torah. He could hear and understand the ‘language’ of everything in nature because he dwelled in the Torah until he became part of it.
\nThe words of Balam were part of God’s creation, and therefore the purity of light is concealed in them. Only wise people, meaning those who reach the level of Chokmah<\/a>, can understand how to draw the needed light from the Torah for healing and for anything else to control nature. Great Tanaim<\/a> like Rabbi Akiva, Rabbi Shimon, and Rabbi Meir Baal Haness could resurrect the dead, control the flow of rivers, bring rain in dry summer, and turn dust to gold just by their thoughts. Nowadays, we don’t have a pure environment to develop these abilities—only some pure soul, isolated from the rest of the world, may achieve that. Coming in contact with this world would ‘ground’ them almost instantly. There are stories of Tzadikim that experienced negative sight and suffered greatly because of that.
\nOur engagement with the study of Zohar helps us connect to the secrets of the Torah and elevate us higher above others who don’t do the same.
\nWe can also elevate ourselves higher by meditating and blessing others with our thoughts and words. If another person blesses you, we say Amen and bless them in return by saying, “May Hashem<\/a> bless you with everything that you bless others.” If you know the person, you can give a more specific blessing. We always have in our consciousness that Hashem<\/a> is the one that bestows blessings on others. We use the words to carry the energy to others. Like Tzedakah, blessings connect us to the Light of Yessod<\/a>, the source of all blessings to the world.<\/p>\n
