60. מַיִם עֶלְיוֹנִים זְכָרִים, וּמַיִם תַּחְתּוֹנִים נְקֵבוֹת. בַּתְּחִלָּה הָיוּ מַיִם בְּמַיִם, עַד שֶׁנִּפְרְדוּ, לְהַכִּיר מַיִם עֶלְיוֹנִים וְתַחְתּוֹנִים, זֶה אֱלֹהִים [מַיִם עֶלְיוֹנִים]. וְזֶה אדנ”י [מַיִם תַּחְתּוֹנִים]. וְזוֹ ה’ עֶלְיוֹנָה וְה’ תַּחְתּוֹנָה. מַה כָּתוּב? וַיַּעַשׂ אֱלֹהִים אֶת הָרָקִיעַ. הִתְפַּשְּׁטוּת זוֹ לָקַח שֵׁם זֶה אֱלֹהִים מַיִם עֶלְיוֹנִים, וּמַיִם תַּחְתּוֹנִים אדנ”י. וְעִם כָּל זֶה, כֵּיוָן שֶׁהִשְׁתַּלְּמוּ מַיִם זְכָרִים בְּמַיִם נוּקְבִים, שֵׁם אֱלֹהִים הִתְפַּשֵּׁט בַּכֹּל.<\/div>\n

Zohar Beresheet<\/strong>

\nUpper waters are male and lower waters are female. Initially, they were mixed until they were separated and placed in their location.
\nThe upper water with the name, אֱלֹהִים ELHYM is Binah<\/a> and the upper letter הH of the name. The lower water with the name אדני ADNY, Malchut<\/a>, and the lower letter הH of the name.
\nGenesis 1:7<\/a>
\n“וַיַּעַשׂ אֱלֹהִים אֶת הָרָקִיעַ וַיַּבְדֵּל בֵּין הַמַּיִם אֲשֶׁר מִתַּחַת לָרָקִיעַ וּבֵין הַמַּיִם אֲשֶׁר מֵעַל לָרָקִיעַ וַיְהִי כֵן.”
\n“Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament, and it was so.”
\nThis verse tells about the expansion of the waters to above and below. That action that made male and female waters<\/a> caused the name אֱלֹהִים ELHYM to expand everywhere. <\/p>\n

\nEven though the waters were separated into upper and lower waters, the dispute and division between them were not settled until the third day, when both were in their proper place. Because of the clash of the two sides and the incomplete action, the Torah doesn’t say on the second day, “and God saw that it was good,” as written on the other days. When the waters were mixed together as one, there was no fruition in the world until they were separated to male and female. <\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nThe world of Tikkun requires males and females to act together and become ‘fruitful.’ The female is the aspect of a vessel that receives and manifests, and the male is the aspect of the channel of Light for the vessel.
\nSeparating the waters created the dynamics and relationship between male and female waters<\/a> to manifest ‘fruits’ in this world.
\nThe desire in Malchut<\/a>, the vessel, is raising female waters<\/a> and drawing male waters to nourish the lower levels and fulfill the desire.<\/p>\n
