Zohar Beresheet<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nMichael<\/a>, who is the angel of Chessed<\/a>, makes a mark on the south, and the other three faces, which are Lion, Ox, and Eagle, look toward the face of the man that is Malchut<\/a>. When the other animals look toward Malchut<\/a>, they make unification and draw the light of Chassadim<\/a> from the south that is the Right. Michael<\/a>, one of the angels that serve the Nukva<\/a> of Zeir Anpin<\/a>, marks the place as preparation for unification.
\nPsalms 68:18<\/a>
\n“רֶכֶב אֱלֹהִים רִבֹּתַיִם אַלְפֵי שִׁנְאָן אֲדֹנָי בָם סִינַי בַּקֹּדֶשׁ”
\n“The chariots of God are myriads, thousands upon thousands; (שִׁנְאָן) The Lord is among them as at Sinai, in holiness.”<\/p>\n

\nThe word ‘שִׁנְאָן’ from the verse above appears only once in the Bible. It is not a Hebrew or Aramaic word, and the English translation is a pure guess related to the general meaning of the verse. The Zohar reveals (Ekev #66) that this word represents the initials of the four Holy Creatures
\nLetter ש for שור – Ox
\nLetter נ for נשר – Eagle
\nLetter א for אריה – Lion
\nLetter ן for אדם – man
\nThe word for man is אדם ‘Adam,’ and the Zohar explains that the letter that represents man, Adam, is Nun ן. This letter is stretched below the baseline (Malchut<\/a>), and like the first Adam at the time of Creation, he was made as male and female, Zeir Anpin<\/a> and Malchut<\/a>.
\nFrom the level of the creatures of the Holy chariot<\/a>, spread the lower worlds of B’riah, Yetzirah, and Asiya with all their inner levels. <\/p>\n

\nThese Holy Creatures are integrated with each other and are included in each other so that each and everyone is included in the other. It means that the four creatures are combined with each other so that the face of the Ox consists of all four, and the same with the face of the eagle and the face of the lion. It means that each animal has four faces, but together they are twelve and not sixteen because the man’s face is not shown in them because it represents the inclusion of all, and therefore, they are only twelve.<\/p>\n
