116. וְסוֹד [זֶה] לָמַדְנוּ – הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא נִסְתָּר וְגָלוּי. גָּלוּי הוּא בֵּית הַדִּין שֶׁלְּמַטָּה, וְנִסְתָּר הוּא מָקוֹם שֶׁכָּל הַבְּרָכוֹת יוֹצְאוֹת מִשָּׁם. וְלָכֵן כָּל דִּבְרֵי הָאָדָם שֶׁהֵם בַּסֵּתֶר, בְּרָכוֹת שׁוֹרוֹת עָלָיו. וְכָל אוֹתָם שֶׁבַּנִּגְלֶה, אוֹתוֹ מָקוֹם שֶׁל בֵּית דִּין שׁוֹרִים עָלָיו, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁהוּא מָקוֹם בְּגִלּוּי, וְאוֹתוֹ שֶׁנִּקְרָא רַע עַיִן שׁוֹלֵט עָלָיו, וְהַכֹּל הוּא בְּסוֹד עֶלְיוֹן כְּמוֹ שֶׁלְּמַעְלָה.

\nThe secret is that the Holy One Blessed be He is hidden and revealed. The revealed aspect of the lower court is called Rachel. He is concealed at the source of blessings that come out from the unification of the upper level of Zeir Anpin<\/a> with the upper level of the Nukva<\/a> of Zeir Anpin<\/a> that is called Leah.
\nWhatever the people do hidden from sight, receive blessings from above. All revealed actions are under the lower court’s power and can be controlled by an “evil eye” and attract klipot<\/a> and judgments.
\nWhen the actions are concealed, the Klipa<\/a> can not hold onto them. Therefore, a person that acts in concealment receives the blessings from the hidden level of Zeir Anpin<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nRabbi Yossi cried and said, how happy is the generation Rabbi Shimon dwells among them, because of his merits, we are on these mountains listening to supernal<\/a> wisdom. Rabbi Yossi says that the person that joined them was sent by the Holy One Blessed be He to reveal to them these secrets.
\nThey came to Rabbi Shimon and told him what they heard. He said, indeed his words were beautiful and true.<\/p>\n

\n“וַיֹּאמֶר אֱלֹהִים לְנֹחַ קֵץ כָּל בָּשָׂר בָּא לְפָנַי כִּי מָלְאָה הָאָרֶץ חָמָס מִפְּנֵיהֶם וְהִנְנִי מַשְׁחִיתָם אֶת הָאָרֶץ.”
\n“And God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth.”
\nOne day, Rabbi Elazar was sitting before Rabbi Shimon, his father. He asked him, “The end of all flesh,” which is the other side<\/a> benefit from the sacrifices that Israel<\/a> was offering on the Altar, or not? He answered him, saying that all levels above and below benefit from the same sacrifices.<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nThe students of Rabbi Shimon recognized that because Rabbi Shimon existed in their generation, they merit to experience situations and encounters with people that increase their wisdom.
\nRabbi Shimon concealed himself in a cave for thirteen years to have the highest level of spiritual connection without the interference of the other side<\/a>. He wrote the Zohar through Rabbi Aba, his student, to provide spiritual support to the Shechina in the generations before the final redemption.
\nWe don’t have Rabbi Shimon in our generation, but his holiness and high-level connection are in the Zohar. When we connect Daily to the Zohar, it is like Rabbi Shimon dwells among us. Beyond the benefits that we draw ourselves, the Light that is revealed, also to a certain level, nourishes the other side<\/a>. When they get their share, they don’t inflict judgments on the world.
\nAnother lesson is to conceal everything we do at the root level. The seed of life is hidden in a vessel and can’t be detected for about three months. That is enough time to draw the blessings before revealing it.<\/p>\n

From the Talmud<\/a><\/p>\n

וא”ר יצחק אין הברכה מצוייה אלא בדבר הסמוי מן העין שנאמר (דברים כח, ח) יצו ה’ אתך את הברכה באסמיך תנא דבי רבי ישמעאל אין הברכה מצויה אלא בדבר שאין העין שולטת בו שנאמר יצו ה’ אתך את הברכה באסמיך<\/p>\n

And Rabbi Yitzḥak says: Blessing is found only in a matter concealed from the eye, as it is stated: “The Lord will command blessing with you in your storehouses” (Deuteronomy 28:8<\/a>), where the grain is concealed. The school of Rabbi Yishmael taught: Blessing is found only in a matter over which the eye has no dominion, as it is stated: “The Lord will command blessing with you in your storehouses.”<\/p>\n

In addition, the Talmud says that counting our blessings creates limitations and blocks the blessings from coming down. It’s okay to ‘count your blessings’ in the form of appreciating the gifts from Hashem<\/a>, not literal counting.
\nThose who have limited resources and need to calculate every expense then they should be responsible. They can expand their vessel when they give a tithe, even if it is little. We never ask Hashem<\/a> for a specific amount but always in the form of an open vessel with a desire to expand our vessel without limitation on a spiritual and material level.<\/p>\n
